sorry for being a dark sorcerer. as if its my fault.
I’m in the process of moving blogs, so my writeblr can be my main blog and people aren’t confused why a pro wrestling blog is following them.
I’m currently going through all my old posts on here and reblogging those I like enough to put on main. So if you want to follow now, go ahead, but it’s going to be stuff I’ve already reblogged on here for a little while. I’ll update when I’m done with that process.
Here’s my new main writeblr blog: @the-hand-of-demtor
I’ll be following everyone I follow on here when I’ve settled in.

I’m tired of the idea that “good fiction is always realistic”.
There’s a difference between being realistic and being believable, and too many people confuse the latter for the former.
An audience doesn’t actually want realism, they want a world that’s decently fleshed out and follows some kind of logic.
That’s what good fantasy is; you know it would never work in real life but it’s portrayed so cool that you wish it would.
eVERY TIME-
My unread books and my bank account when I buy a new novel:
what people think is hard about writing: describing the joy, love, beauty, grief, loss and hope that form the richness of human experience
what is actually hard about writing: describing basic actions such as turning, leaning over, reclining, gesturing, saying something in a quiet voice, breathing, getting up from chairs, and walking across rooms
A NaNoWriMo Project: THE VIOLIN THIEVES
Genre: Dystopia / Urban fantasy / Queer Age range: YA POV: 1st person Aim: 50k+ words Themes: classical music / family / wlw / strangers with beef to lovers / heists / denouncing extreme capitalistic system / public uproar / marginalized identities
New York, Manhattan, 2120. When 17 y/o Sam Knight finds a discarded violin case on a rooftop, she can’t imagine it contains a famous Stradivarius, stolen from the personal collection of the Minister of Music by the Rebellion - and even less that it hosts a mysterious, supernatural creature: a Lunar Parasite.
With her newfound powers and the help of violin prodigy and Rebellion member Cassiopeia Vu, Sam decides to strike against the Minister of Music and the extra-capitalistic Profit System that rules the country.
And for this, while a public uproar against the Minister of Music rises in the streets, Sam and Cass decide to steal more of his violins.
Tell me if you want to be added to the tag list!

I’m thinking about making a new Tumblr just so I can have my writeblr be my main blog instead of one of my side blogs... but I can’t think of what to call it 🤔

I know I keep asking questions but I’m super nosy, what’s the weirdest thing you’ve had to research for your wips? and I don’t mean like where to hide a body or some shit, I mean like how I’ve somehow found myself reading georgian cookery books to learn how they baked french loaves in 1775 for a few throw away lines
Unexplored caves in Scotland that could hide a tear in reality, caves that people knew existed, but never truly explored so the tear was basically undiscovered, ‘twas a very specific type of cave (and ultimately a useless endeavor as the tear in reality was literally just described as being “in a cave in Scotland” and was left at that)
“What sound do eels make”
Also that time I needed to know if you could make a rainbow from mist and firelight but google wasn’t helping so I grabbed a few candles and the garden hose and made some questionable decisions in the back yard
Hm, I guess my most recent search: what burning bones smell like. I ended up deep in someone’s paper about what sort of bones people with no access to wood could effectively burn in campfires.
