Emma was such a random character but I think about her singing with Simon/others a lot
I finished Bia season 1
Idk if I should post my thoughts about it or not just bc it seems like BIa has such a non-existent fanbase online
I did enjoy it overall, but it doesn't have the same otherworldly whimsy that Soy Luna and especially Violetta had. It also just has way fewer songs in general
I bought a VPN subscription just to be able to watch Bia season 2 since it's not on Disney+ in the US
Finally Finished Brutal 65-80 hour work weeks. Here are the Songs I hummed the most while I worked for 13-14 hour shifts during the past 5 weeks.
5.
Dile Que sí is just a catch song that I could occupy my head with for hours. Unrelated, but Violetta's facial expressions while dancing are so cringey to me lmao
4.
It's mostly the SALTO part of Alzo Mi Bandera that is stuck in my head, but I found myself humming it while getting slow tasks done at work
3.
Tiempo de amor is just such a positive song that I associate with driving while in a good mood. It's unrivaled in how much it pumps me up, and I try to be positive with all of the members on my team
2.
I hum Amor En El Aire so much just because of how upbeat, catchy, and cheesy it is. It has very cozy vibes and it is very nostalgic.
1.
I honestly hum Decirte lo que siento while treading through the slow and monotonous parts of my work day, and it keeps me somewhat entertained as I have downtime in the periods I don't have to communicate with people or lead meetings. This song honestly makes me understand why Delfi likes Pedro so much as he sounds very attractive when singing it, and I think about their duet version of this song a lot too
If you're wondering why all of the songs I hummed are Leon songs or Roller Band songs, it wasn't intentional. I guess I end humming these as I can definitely sing them more than most of the songs sung by the female vocalists on Soy Luna and Violetta since I'm a baritone
Random Post about life
Working for a giant corporation for over 2 years has sucked the creativity and passion out of me
Even seeing how I was so engaged with Violetta, and Soy Luna to a lesser extent, over a year ago compared to how I react to my interests now is depressing. I practically cycle very fast between shows onto the next without too much engagement, and I only play a select few video games
I'm currently working on business school applications and hope to get into one of the top 25 programs I'm applying to. It's just to ensure that I can essentially double my current salary and basically set the rest of my life up to be in a more comfortable position than most people in the planet
Nothing I do is like unethical or anything, but it is pretty lonely and isolating being a corporate cog in the machine though
Violetta's a better person than me
Ngl, if I was in the position of Violetta where my best friend ended up dating someone who ruined my prior relationship and lied to me throughout my entire relationship with them, I would have been pissed off and possibly ended the friendship
I know Diego had improved a lot as a person in this point of the show, but I feel there's a difference between accepting someone as a friend vs accepting them as someone who is acceptable to date. If that makes sense?
Also, I always found it unrealistic that Francesca fell for Diego. She seemed so disgusted by his actions when she learned the truth about him in season 2. I know the show was probably already planning to set them up since they were paired together for their duet but still
Marco and Francesca
I know a lot of people don't like Marco and Francesca more than Francesca and DIego, but I always liked the two of them together way more.
I just liked that both were very smitten with each other at the start and Francesca deserved to have someone who was 100% into her after being used by Tomas as consolation prize for Violetta
This scene kinda encapsulates what I mean because Marco literally dedicates the song to Francesca and Francesca is hyping him up, dancing excitedly, and fluttering her eyes. They're just both in the honeymoon phase and I love that for them.
I know Xabiani wanted to leave in season 3, but I hated how they wasted the last like 20-30 episodes in season 2 on Marco's ex causing conflict for them.
And Marco coming off weird (which seems like depression to me and I'll die on that hill) in season 3 made me so angry, because they deserved a better send off as opposed to Francesca just developing feelings for Diego throughout nearly all of the start of season 3

Francesca and Headbands
First post in a very long time, but this is a random thought I had. Lodovica did not look as young as Francesca was supposed to be. The character was intended to be 17 in season 1 and presumably 19 in season 3?
Headbands and bright clothing kind of serve to make her look younger. I can't really find them, but seeing BTS clips of her showed she really did look her age
This video I think shows it very well. I'm attributing it to the lack of a headband since she doesn't often give those vibes in the show, but she very much looks like a woman in her mid 20s as someone in their mid 20s
I realize most of the cast looked way older than their characters, it's just different to see Francesca look a bit older imo.
I'd argue the only younger characters who really looked their ages were Violetta and Leon. Violetta bc Tini was super young and Leon bc Jorge Blanco had a massive baby face

He let out the biggest fart known to man
Everytime I see a fucking USAmerican defends Marie-Antoinette, I want to get the guillotine out.
She was an adult woman in her thirties, one of the most powerful woman in Europe. She was older than her husband, and the dominant one in their relationship (and if you treat her as a victim because her marriage was arranged when she was a teen, you better start treating ALL French like this. News flash, it was normal at the time for everyone, even men, nobody chose their spouse) She had slaves, she was pro-slavery, she was against the human rights, and more conservative than her husband.
"The French people were racist toward her" yeah, because her husband started a war against her family so her family could kill French people to kill the Revolution. And she was the one who wrote to her family to ask them to do this, btw. She wrote letters to her brother asking him to kill the people for daring to ask for food, when all she wanted was the newest expensive fashion items.
USAmerican historians wants y'all to side with the French monarchy and against the Revolutionaries, don't buy their lies. It's all because France was against the Iraqi war, and to paint resistance and revolution as terrorism. French historians hate them. (I have a bachelor degree in history and a passion for revolutions. So like, I have read and wrote A LOT about revolutions in the last years.)
She is not a victim, she is literally just like any billionaire we have today. She is not a feminist icon or a lgbtq+ icon. Noble women at the time had a lot of rights, poor women had none, and you are putting the woman with the most freedom, and who used it to oppress other women and poc, on a pedestral. Damn, if you really want a feminist icon for the French Revolution, we have Olympe De Gouges! And Robespierre, who is the one who has been framed for centuries when he was too poor and sick to actually be menacing to any other politicians, was clearly aroace! (from my own research. I haven't seen any historian actually calling him that, but, as an aroace, I can deduct he was because he literally was known for not having relationship of any kind and only cared about his work. Historians are lost on his sexuality, because they aren't educated on us) And they both fought for equality OF ALL humans, of all colors and religions.
As you finished SL you might wanna check out some fanfiction, especially if the ending left you wanting more
I'm sure the fanfics are really solid, but I'm not really into fanfiction
I finished Soy Luna.
Hey everyone, hope you're doing okay I just finished Soy Luna and I have work in less than an hour, it's also my return from a leave of absence and the longest period I've gone without working since starting this job back in September. I'll post a thoughts post for the second half of season 3 and for the series/character impressions overall later.
But I feel empty, like very uniquely empty. I normally feel a bit of awkwardness from the finality of conclusions, but this one hits hard. I'm really attached to Soy Luna and its characters. The one thought about season 3 I'll share right now is it feels like nothing happened for most of it, and that the end was super rushed..
I really like interacting with everyone here, but I'm not sure if I'll post super often more or not. Like I guess I'll watch Bia next, but I know the impact is not the same. I'll probably not even post about it, seeing as barely anyone even talks about it or compares it to Soy Luna/Violetta. It really just feels like the end of an era.
Honestly, I'm not a person who dwells on only consuming or thinking about the same media for too long (though Violetta and probably Soy Luna have special places in my heart), I might end up posting about a lot of random stuff later
For video games, if you want to talk about that with me, I'm currently going through a blind playthrough of the Mass Effect trilogy, and I'm currently playing Mass Effect 2
I'll see you guys around,

Soy Luna Season 3 Episodes 1-30 Thoughts
Okay I've been zooming through these episodes fast while I have the longest break from work I've had since I started the job.
Giving us Lumon for 10 episodes except it's only one-sided on Luna's part and she goes back on it because Nina keeps saying "maybe you're just trying to forget Matteo" is annoying
Nina, no offense, but you have the worst relationship advice fam
Simon and Luna are actually cute together, and people often forget that those in relationships should be capable of being reliable and trusted friends. Relationships don't have to have constant conflict
Poor Luna throughout all of it though. She was about to confess to Simon, only for him to say he's in love with Ambar. I would be crushed
Ambar and Simon having sexual tension in almost every scene they share is crazy for a Disney show. I get why so many people love them together so much
I also like that Simon is the one person she's not scared of being vulnerable around even with their relationship ended, that hug for comfort was everything
Sharon looking like a Dollar Store Carrie-Anne Moss is making it hard for me to take her seriously lmao
Sharon is an awful parental figure to Ambar. "You have to stay with the Valente's because I have a plan to exact revenge against them" is the worst possible thing to say to her when she was the one constant in Ambar's life from the time she was adopted
Alfredo is so stubborn, it is realistic. Old people are like that
The end of Gastina is sad, but understandable. I feel like Gaston did see the video Delfina posted about Eric and Nina and didn't assume she cheated, get mad, or anything like that. However, he was probably thinking "it's unfair for her to be committed to me when I can barely even make time for her"
Eric kind of gives me weird vibes. He's not bad, but I feel like he's an inch away from doing something to get me to dislike him. From my experience, the whole shy guy thing starts seeming like a red flag once you exit high school unless they were homeschooled or escaped an abusive situation tbh
Delfina and Pedro are boring, but I can see them being a stable couple tbh
The scenes involving Lutteo feel forced, like they are telling more than they are showing
Matteo is actually somewhat bearable this season, and I attribute that to him having actual friends beyond just Gaston (who mostly gave him advice)
The Red Sharks are absolutely insufferable. Emilia and Benicio both deserve the worst
I understand Ramiro though. He saw skating as his CAREER more than anyone else. The Jam and Roller team had nothing except each other until their video while the Red Sharks had equipment, a financier, sponsors, a rink, etc. I kind of agree with Ramiro on not feeling too bad about recording them. The whole aspect of being shunned and then "please don't release the video, we're friends" after nobody really talking to him except Jim. I'd be annoyed too
The show makes such a big deal out of Emilia kissing Matteo without his consent (which is very messed up too, don't get me wrong), but it brushed over Matteo doing the same to Luna and somewhat less with Benicio doing the same to Ambar.. I'm not sure how to feel about that
Gary is a horrible person, and Ana deserves someone who is amazing tbh. I know if I was a single 40-ish year old man dating her, I would be obsessed with treating her right and making sure she was happy
It is nice to have a very clear antagonist with a big presence like Gary though. He is lowkey an idiot because if he did things with an ounce of tact and wasn't an asshole for no reason, things wouldn't suddenly start blowing up in his face like the big lack of a coach and his team's lack of discipline (why did he stop at 4 instead of 6 lmao)
I just had a dream, Nico and Pedro were there
Okay, I just woke up but wanted to write this while it was still fresh in my mind.
For some reason I was back in college in multiple classes, and in my classes were Nico and Pedro. I had a talking relationship (minimum school acquaintances) with them too where they'd randomly tell me stuff..
We started off in some PE/Gym type class together just running
Then, there was one part in the dream where we had a timed class activity with different things set up in the class to check and fill out a worksheet for. I think it was forensic science lol.
Last, we were in a cooking class together, our professor was Mr. Sweeney from Ned's Declassified. He announced a group project with there being 5 total groups in the class.
The dream ended with me rushing to their desks and asking Nico and Pedro if they'd be in a group with me. They looked surprised/unsure, and that's where the dream ended
I know I only had a dream bc I was watching Soy Luna not long before going to bed and I had more sugar than usual yesterday lol
I’ve gotten a lot of new followers for some reason and thus I wanna show you guys how well sailor moon fits with the Soy Luna intro. Like it works to a scary degree.
I’ve posted this before but never in this ”full” version
