Current AM and PM Skincare Routine
Reviews for each product is separately posted on the post just below this one. Just going to quickly run you through my routine and a little elaborate explanation on why I kinda customized my own skincare order rather than what most people tend to do/been told to follow.
PM
Banila Co. Clean It Zero - first step in double cleanse; everyday use with or without make-up.
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam - second step in double cleanse; Mon-Wed-Fri-Sun as scheduled because it’s alternately being used with the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Scrub Foam as exfoliator with cleansing capabilities every Tue-Thurs-Sat only.
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Toner - everyday use; shaken very well as the mixture contains powder; I use a generous amount of this product in a cotton pad to help hydrate my face after cleansing as both cleansers have high pH levels - mild alkaline helps remove excess sebum thus leaves my skin a bit dry.
Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive Moist - everyday use; 3-4 drops applied each night using tapping motions until product is fully absorbed by skin.
Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream - everyday use; 1 small dot applied in each eye contour using ring finger and tapping motions until product is fully absorbed by skin. Most people use eye cream after applying all treatments, just before moisturizing. But I find it easier for the skin to absorb the product when used right away after the essence. Stored inside the fridge.
Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule - everyday use; 3 small drops applied each night using tapping motions until fully absorbed by skin. Might take a little while cos the consistency of the product is quite thick. So I stand in front of the fan to help it dry out quickly. Stored inside the fridge.
Innisfree No Sebum Lotion - everyday use; 1 pea-sized amount applied each night; massaged in to face for even distribution of product and use tapping motions until fully absorbed by the skin. Stored inside the fridge.
Innisfree No Sebum Powder Cream - everyday use; half a pea-sized amount applied each night mostly concentrating in my T Zone area are where I tend to be more oily; massaged in to face for even distribution of product and use tapping motions until fully absorbed by the skin. Stored inside the fridge.
Extra step: Esfolio Collagen Essence Sheet Mask - used once a week, every Sunday night only; for pampering purposes mainly because sheet masks tend to make my face oily; applied just after the ampoule is fully absorbed by the skin followed by lotion and cream. I leave it on my face for 20 mins max, making sure I use it inside an airconditioned room. Stored inside the fridge.
AM
Water cleanse, nothing else.
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Clay Mask - used once a week (twice a week is too potent for me causing irritation), every Monday morning only. A thin layer will do, no need to actually slather a thick base on your face. I leave it on for a maximum of 10 minutes only then using a wet face cloth to wash it away.
Jeju Volcanic Toner - everyday use; same shit I do for my night routine.
It’s Skin Power 10 VC Effector - everyday use; 4 small drops applied each morning using tapping motions until fully absorbed by skin. Stored inside the fridge.
Innisfree No Sebum Lotion - everyday use but minimal amount only, possibly half of what I use every night; massaged in to face for even distribution of product and use tapping motions until fully absorbed by the skin. Stored inside the fridge.
Innisfree No Sebum Powder Cream - everyday use but minimal amount only, possibly half of what I use every night. Also only applied in the T Zone area; massaged in to face for even distribution of product and use tapping motions until fully absorbed by the skin. Stored inside the fridge.
Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Cream Triple Care SPF 50++ - everyday use; generous amount applied each morning (you can never have enough sunscreen - wait, who is she? Lol), massaged in to face for even distribution of product and use tapping motions until fully absorbed by the skin. I reapply sunscreen after 4 hours when I’m just at home and running errands around the neighborhood. I normally just set it with my Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Loose Powder when I want to use a little make-up (blush and bronzer) on top of it. But this is my main primer when I have to put a full coverage base.
I never use eye cream in the morning but I always include eye contour area when applying Vitamin C Serum. I also cannot use Vitamin C Serum at night because it does not mix well with retinol and niacinamide which I both have in my PM routine. So I make sure I religiously apply my sunscreen every morning, immediately after using my Vitamin C serum. I can also just mask during daytime as I have more time to do it rather than at night (more mum chores huhu).
