I’m assuming you’re talking about that post I reblogged about fanfiction writers not getting reblogs like artists do and how it should also be a regular thing so other people can notice the work too?

Well first off, I wasn’t reblogging it to bitch about the lack of reblogs I personally get. I post my shit because I want to and it isn’t always on tumblr. I stopped posting my fics here actually. If people don’t like it or don’t find it good then that’s fine? They are not obligated to? And I’m not good at writing regardless but I enjoy it?

I’m okay with likes, but you have to admit that writers don’t get the same recognition artists do. They have to advertise themselves a lot and continuously reblog their work just to get some damn attention (though I can say artists do the same). What I’m saying is a person is more likely to reblog an image than a piece of writing. The reason you see certain fanfictions getting a lot of recognition is because yes, it’s probably really well written but also because that person is probably very well known already and/or people actually bothered to reblog their work. Sometimes it’s about timing.

Whether you think the work is mediocre/terrible is your opinion but the least you could do is reblog it to let other people be the judge of that. It’s simple support, really.
