A year has passed since the pandemic has entered our world. The time that we divided separately, a time that only a corner of your room or house you can be in. This is also a generation where we are all dependent on the available technology that we used everyday. A digital world to interact with each other while we are socially distanced.Ā
As we see ourselves back to the same ordeal, weāve missed a lotāfriends, classmates, colleagues and such. We kept on surviving everyday by entertaining ourselvesāwatching netflix, getting together with family and social networks. By doing this, it makes us feel missed and loved for the meantime but sometimes, itās exhausting. Everyday check up on friends, daily scrolling on social media and a loaded workload from the school.Ā
Given that, many students including me are demanding some much-needed breathing space amidst the unfavorable socioeconomic impact. To consider the intensified burden placed on the students affected.Ā The quarantine implementation caused a great setback in the normal operational flow of the whole nation. Challenging the morale, mental health, and welfare of many.Ā
The impact of the quarantine period on the economic welfare of the majority remains the issue that must be considered. In the midst of these events, fairness and equality are needed now more than ever for the well-being of all. Having said that, a lot of students were quite uncomfortable with this set up and sometimes felt angry in the aspect of unfavorable things. Online classes, daily family together and interacting only on social media are quite exhausting yet we need to adjust into the new normal. I wish this pandemic ends and the government should be accountable and competent someday.
