The luck stat now influences critical hit rates
The hit and evasion formulae have been reworked to be more dependent on Speed

(raises my hand) mr saifey will the dungeon crawler segment of proverbs have strafing. it's not an important feature at all but it's fun to have if possible i think.
no, because of how it's set up left and right have to be turning in place... i think that it would work if rpgmaker natively supported strafing but it doesn't
one more thing: random encounters are a little fucky and enemies that chase you won't work at all so the compromise is that we're thinking of having enemies be fixed squares that just have guys that jump out at you on them. this is for the final level and there's still a lot of wrinkles that need to be ironed out first but rest assured that by the time i get to actually seriously balancing this i'm going to find a way to make it as annoying as possible.
