female reader x task force 141
you are the new recruit of task force 141 and this is how you met everyone + what your relationship with each of them has grown to :DD
**PLEASE READ IN GOTH/RAVE PALETTE
In the beginning, it was pretty awkward between you and Task Force 141. Although you were naturally a chatty person, you found it difficult to connect with anyone on the team during your first few weeks. There was already a deep history between each of the members, and you just felt out of place next to the All-Star Lineup that was 141.
Captain John Price┆︎During your first few weeks upon joining the Task Force, you stuck to the Captain like glue. He was the one who admitted you, and the only person you felt comfortable around. Of course, he expressed his concern over your hesitant nature — but Ghost was pretty much the same when he first joined, so he passed it off as first day jitters. Sure enough, as time went by you began to warm up to Price, as well as the group. In a way, Price became a sort of “father figure” to you. He was protective, he looked out for you and you often turned to him for advice. Over time he began to see you in the same way, often reaching out first to see if you were okay. Being the only woman in the group was sure to have its own struggles in itself — even though he wasn’t sure he was knowledgeable enough to help you, he would always reach out to Laswell in case anything occurred.
Calls you “Love” as a form of endearment and is totally 100% platonic.
Often pats your head when he is proud of you, or just to reassure you.
Simon “Ghost” Riley┆Ghost was pretty much your hardest obstacle to pass. He didn’t talk much, and didn’t spare you much time at first. Plus you knew how infamous Simon Riley was — and to be honest, he made you nervous just a tiny bit. But after being paired on a few missions, he grew to respect you and your skills. You were efficient, tactical and serious when working, and Ghost found missions with you to run a lot more smoothly than missions without you. Soon, Ghost was offering his assistance whenever you needed it, and you tried your best to learn as much as you could from him. Over time Ghost found out that you were quite the chatterbox, and would often find himself victim to your endless rants and tribulations. These moments he did not enjoy, but he was glad to see someone who still had optimism — even in the middle of war.
Unintentionally becomes your bodyguard, but only because he looks so intimidating when he stands behind you.
Absolutely despises it when you and Soap pair up to tell him terrible British jokes.
Can immediately tell when something is wrong with you based on your level of chatter.
Kyle “Gaz” Garrick┆It was just a natural bond with Gaz — you know, a natural solidarity. He was like a brother in arms to you, and even though the two of you didn’t speak much during the first few weeks, you’ve grown to become comfortable friends. It started off with simple greetings and nods when crossing paths. The two of you went out on some missions, which made it easier for you to converse later own. Soon after that, the two of you began to talk about everything. The easiest way to describe it is by calling it a “comfortable randomness” that you couldn’t get anywhere else. If Price wasn’t checking up on you, it was most likely Gaz filling in that spot for you, acting as your mentor at times.
Second to Soap, you joke around with Gaz the most.
Gaz is the only one who isn’t the butt of the British jokes you and Soap tell — sometimes being referred to as “The Good Brit.”
John “Soap” Mactavish┆︎It was like friendship at first sight. As soon as you saw him, you got an immediate feeling that Soap was someone you could trust and rely on. He was super friendly to you during your first few weeks, which made it easier for you to talk to him. If talking to Gaz is considered “comfortable randomness,” then talking to Soap is “chaotic randomness.” You never know what to expect whenever paired with Soap, but 9 times out of 10, you were sure to be in for a ride. He’s always down for whatever crazy idea you throw out there, and you’ve accidentally made him an Ice Spice fan — so there’s that. Throughout the Task Force, the two of you are known as the troublesome duo, which gives our dear Captain the biggest headache…
Soap affectionately calls you lass :)
You always like to tell Soap that you love his accent and the times in which he slips into Gaelic, not only because you find it so funny when he’s mad, but you get annoyed whenever Ghost tells him to speak English.
The two of you keep embarrassing photos of one another that always make you guys laugh without fail.
