All fans are welcome to participate

While we are a generally chill fest, we have a few ground rules:

This is a LGBTQIA+ friendly space.

We don't really like AI, so please don't use it over here!

Please avoid character/ship/kink/headcanon bashing. If it isn't your thing, simply move on instead of engaging.

People have different boundaries when it comes to mature content, so we gently ask that if your work is explicit (art or writing) - it either be under a cut or linked to an Ao3 post! (More on the Ao3 collection soon!)

Warning for discussions of abuse, bloody violence, and other common trigger warnings are optional but encouraged.

RPF (real people fiction) (art or fic) is okay! We just ask that you please label and tag it as such.

How to Participate!

Today is all about Fitz and Arch.

Our bonded cats. The crime solving duo. Partners in crime, Top Dogs, thorn in the side of criminals all over Saint-Pierre. Two people with different histories finding common ground and discovering that yea, they do kick ass together!

What was your first impression(s) of our duo during the first episode? What is your opinon on them now, after two seasons? Has is changed? Why/why not?

I got into Saint-Pierre because it was highly rec'd to me by @gjdraws and @variousqueerthings!! I'm a fan of Paul Gross from Due South and wanted to watch more Paul Gross things, so I watched Caught (another rec from GJ and VQT! thanks for the amazing recs yall seriously!!!) which was my introduction to Allan Hawco! Stayed bc I'm just so charmed by Hawco and also I'm a fan of crime dramas with a lovable ensemble cast! (also i was absolutely THRILLED when PG showed up!!!)

Hello (although I know for some people it's already tomorrow)

I got into Saint-Pierre because I was into Allan Hawco initially, although I had seen and enjoyed Joséphine Jobert in Death in Paradise (this was how I got my housemate into it as well). Hawco himself was initially someone I started watching because of his collaborations with Paul Gross, and yay that mr Gross appears in this show as well (twice so far!)

I appreciate seeing the growth in his career in terms of coming at characters in stories that are fun, popcorn material, with a lot of heart and misfit characters -- seeing his trajectory from Republic of Doyle to this has been great. and I'm really pleased I get to see Jobert on another show, funnily enough, once again solving crimes on an island (albeit this time in the Northern hemisphere).

Hullo hullo, I'm GJ! Fell into Republic of Doyle through one Paul Gross and slowly realized Mr. Allan Hawco was highjey frog-in-boiling-water me by being a super cool guy. I am still finding out cool things about him even though it's been over a year!!

TLDR now look where we are... Saint-Pierre is basically everything I like in a story: silly sad boy, big stronk (fr) tetchy woman and a fab ensemble cast that solves crimé!!!

anyways, hi 👋 I'm C and I found SP totally on accident 😅 I was looking for a new show to watch, just having a look at what's been coming out in the past year when I came upon SP just from the cover and the description I got the feeling that it might be up my alley so I put it on and got hooked around ep 4 (there's evidence in gifset form over on my sideblog 😉) no previous knowledge about hawco, jobert, newfoundland or anything involved lmao

I'm Rubia (sometimes. here. on occasions), and I got into watching Saint Pierre because my Mom had it on TV! :D My mom likes really good shows and we watched a lot of this one together. It definitely helps that Newfoundland is on screen sometimes so I can point at the screen and go ooh i know that place

It was a bit awkward at first seeing Allan Hawco on TV so much, considering the last time I'd seen him was at my old grocery store job at the end of a shift while my supervisor was taking surreptitious photos of him for snapchat through the darkened cash office window instead of counting my till so I could leave (was it invasive and wrong? yeah. did i say anything? what do you think, i had a job to keep #myBystanderEffect) but I got over it pretty fast bc TV show good :)

Your co-host Ella here. Resident Canadian and appreciator of all things HAWCO.

It may have taken until Season 3 of Republic of Doyle for me to finally hop on the Hawco Fan Bandwagon, but oohhhh I am happy I did! From Doyle to Caught to Saint-Pierre, I have been a fan of both the man and that very lovely GTO. (Yes that is my dream car, shaddup!) I fell in love with a distant island, the people, and the dialect.

When I heard that Hawco was making a new show about a disgraced detective on a French Island, I didn't even watch the trailer. I just jumped right in. I knew I was going to love it, and I did.

I have the right to blame Hawco for my ability to yap in Newfoundland dialect, and if I were ever to make it to St John's, the ability to walk around downtown blindfolded. And also the 11 year writing project that has become Ink Stained Wolf.

Heyyy I’m an absolutely massive fan of Saint Pierre and the reason I got into it was because I’m also a huge Death in Paradise fan (if you like Josephine and haven’t watched it pleaseeee do) and Josephine’s character was always my favorite and I follow her insta so naturally I saw her talking about how she was gonna be in another crime show playing another detective and I thought it looked really good so yeah that’s how it all started. Since then I have also become a fan of Allan (it’s impossible not to love him lol) and I’m currently watching Republic of Doyle (sorry I went a bit off topic there, the ADHD lowkey kick in) but yeah I got completely hooked on the show and I love the SPMP with my whole heart 💖✌️
