in case you needed your daily dose of sadness, here’s your not so friendly reminder that kios is not a person that will ask for help. they have the weight of the entire world on their shoulders- willingly. they are a person that carries death, and lost souls with them constantly. they are a patron saint who saw their entire town- their entire people- swallowed by the sea that they would become the god of one day. they are the patron saint of lost people, they are the saint that refuses to let someone die alone- who has held so many people as they took their last breaths on this earth. they are the god that sailors pray to- so that can go home and see their family, the people they love, just one last time. they have heard so many prayers of the drowned, and seen their own face staring back in the waters. they are the sun incarnate, and they have heard every hope, and prayer, and secret that has been whispered to them, and they have kept them locked in their heart- and swore to never forget them. they are an atlas, and they are so afraid to share that burden- because they know how heavy it is, and it would kill them to know that they crushed someone beneath its weight. and they will never let that weakness show, they will never slip, they will always be the first to offer to help you shoulder your own pain- and the entire time you will never know the weight that already sits on them
