i have a HR idea i can't get out of my head and i am putting it out to the tumblr fanfic universe so....

-its a boston vs montreal game

-hollanov got there shit together a little earlier than in canon

-metros are assholes and some have found out shane is gay

-its a brutal game with both sides gunning for the other, no surprise, but for some reason to all fans and the raiders, the metros are also checking their captain

-ilya sees this and goes after a few metros of his own, revenge

-the puck is gliding on the ice, shane has it, 2 of his team collide into him, from both sides of his flank, shane goes down and doesn't get up

-stadium goes quiet

-"thats what you get you f**kn faggot" a metro player says

-ilyas world stops, without thinking he skates to shanes still body lying on the ground, stick, gloves, helmet comes off, sinks to his knees, shanes chest isn't moving, with a shaking hand ilya feels for a pulse, none,

-"SHANE" he screams, as he places his hands on this chest and starts cpr

-a mixture of russian and english pleas come out as he pushs down again and again, on his chest, tears flowing, gently pushing shanes head back, sealing their lips to breathe,

-no metro medics come onto the ice

-raiders players screaming for medics, metro players quiet, smug

-cliff and st simon grabbing ilya as the raiders medics come onto the ice, take over, cut off shanes jersey, bruising on this chest and stomach, crash pads placed, medics screaming for an ambulance, shock him, again and again, nothing, again

-shanes still body jerking from shocks getting smaller and smaller as cliff and st simon drag ilya back towards the locker rooms, eyes wet with tears, breathing jaggerd, moments of time lost, is shane still alive?

-fans are outraged

-in the raider locker room, airy quiet, as all raiders team reflect, a few including the coach removing the uniform and pads from ilyas body, putting on his clothes, and hauling him up, hes catatonic

-"come on roz, let's get you to the hospital to your man" cliff says quietly but strongly, trying to keep the horror out of his voice

-ilya, coach, cliff drive to the hospital

-the press and fans from both sides out front, cameras flashing

-did shane make it?

Edwin gulps, but feels a familiar arm reach around his waist from behind him, grabbing his side, Edwins body spins around, only to stop face first into a strong chest, a gentle large hand on the back of Edwins head pushing it down, his nose now in the crock of familiar neck, he breathes in the cologne, a thumb caressing the nape of Edwins neck, Edwins arms go around the familiar strong body, he lets out a shaky breath

he looks up at the side profile of the boy he has loved for years, Charles, his face like stone his eyes blazing, jaw locked, not looking at Edwin but something in front of him, Edwins eyes follow the line of Charles right arm, stretched out in front of him, holding his cricket bat, following the line of his arm he sees the tip of the bat wedge d under the chin of the cat king pushing up his head, in a strong deadly low voice Charles replies

"Stop fucking pawing at my husband"

both Edwin and Crystal gasp, while Niko jumps squealing

never in the 30+ years Charles and Edwin have been together having anyone touched Edwin in a manner to make Charles jealous, till now
