@astershollanov
my shane is a nuzzler and is happy to bury his head into ilyaās neck, his shoulder, he loves to nuzzle!!!
so do we think based off ilya being more vocal during the frottage scene he was actually holding back and this was another form of him being vulnerable and he might be more of a moaner in the future
Happy Pride Month y'all š³ļøāšā¤ļø
You are loved and supported ā¤ļø
iām such a wimp when it comes to hollanov on ao3, i canāt do main character death, dementia, etc. or breakups even with getting back together later in life. major props to the peeps who write and read it, iām just not the yaoi godsā strongest soldier.
angst with a happy ending though has my whole heart.
i canāt really rank hollanov kisses. i can say my favorite is the stairwell kiss but every kiss they share is different and is an important, so important, aspect of their sex scenes.
their first kiss is exploratory, buzzing, and opening a door for what would become a ceaseless desire.
their first kiss in nashville that shane hastily starts tells us, and them, their relief to be able to do so again, because that desire was just as strong.
when ilya kisses shane as they discuss a plan for next time, he kisses him to reassure him and let him know itās okay to want to wait and that it isnāt putting ilya off to do something else instead.
at vegas, the first time, ilya tries to hide behind the kiss and shane is his most honest (in vino veritas) and hungry here.
their first kiss after close to two years at shaneās apartment is like saying hello again, and easing back into an act they ache to be familiar with.
when shane kisses ilya so softly and then kisses his forehead, all of those kisses prior seem to catch up with ilya. the voiceless conversations theyāve had, and the honesty in them all scares him. how he feels and canāt stop, it scares him. once he shares one last stairwell kiss, far too sweet and true to be safe, ilya steels himself to kiss shane as little as possible for as long as possible, even if itās all he wants.
i could go on but every kiss they share says something. when they finally are on the same page and finally confess, with their voices, that they love each other, their kisses arenāt any less raw, sweet, or hungry. but now those kisses are backing up what they mutually know to be true - they never have nor ever will be able to stop loving the other.
so crazy that when taylor swift wrote iāve been meaning to tell you i think your house is haunted your dad is always mad and that must be why and i think you should come live with me and we could be pirates then you wonāt have to cry or hide in the closet she was actually thinking about svetlana and ilya
to add to this,
i hate it here so i will go to lunar valleys in my mind when they found a better planet only the gentle survived i dreamed about it in the dark the night i felt like i might die no mid-sized city hopes and small town fears i'm there most of the year cause i hate it here i hate it here

āoh my god hollander you are so boring.ā
⢠end of august ā¢
"Hollander may as well have stabbed Ilya in the gut. Ilya could practically feel the blade twisting, tearing up his insides. He hoped Hollander didnāt notice his shaking fingers as he brought the cigarette back to his lips. In that moment, Ilya wanted to tell Hollander everything. Instead, he closed his eyes and said, āI should sleep.ā x
what shouldāve happened in the hotel gym š
do you think whenever ilya gets a hug or a kiss on the cheek/head from yuna he feels a rush of grief
and how many times do you think it took for him not to find a moment to himself or with shane to let out that grief
and do you think it hurt too much at first and yuna felt like she was doing something wrong
i think a lot about how ilya knew he fell early and fell hard for shane but regardless of shane ever feeling the same way, it felt doomed no matter what. āwhat does it fucking matter?ā because even when they are finally coming to the same page it canāt matter in the end. even after tampa when everything is laid bare, he planned on ending things. and breaking things off was doomed too because they just canāt stay away from each other, even when they acted like it was nothing. oh my baby boys
watching heated rivalry as a life long fanfic enjoyer with a professional eye..... nice placement of death in the family..... sublime injured partner/protective partner.... exquisite 8tracks playlist....
bear with me, mechanic!shane
occasionally i see these tiktoks of a girl wandering into a mechanic garage and she just does random things around the garage, and the guy is mildly annoyed but maybe finds it funny/cute then she leaves and i just can see ilya doing this and being an absolute menace and shane starts falling, waiting and hoping heāll wander back in the shop.
Ilya Rozanov lost his mother, Irina Rozanova, when he was 12.
Irina, whose name derives from the Greek goddess of peace, Eirene.
He found her. He finds ways to hide from the grief, the pain, the fear, and the melancholy that haunts him too.
Ilya hides behind humor like armor.
When he calls Shane āboringā he knows itās taken as a jab. But he means it. Not in the literal sense, not in the uninteresting sense.
Shane is everything he has been seeking out. Endlessly fascinating in the tender, mellow ways.
Shane isnāt slamming doors. Shane isnāt mindless anger. Shane isnāt painful fists.
Shane, to Ilya, makes all the harsh things softer. The first time Ilya hears a door slam in the same room as Shane itās because they couldnāt wait another second to get their hands on each other.
When Shane gets angry he can be rather cute (but when he is actually angry, it can be a little scary, but never like anger that seemed to come from nowhere).
When Ilya holds Shaneās hand the first time, really holds it, the callouses from years of being a hockey player feels like they were formed just for that moment. Rough and gentle.
Shane is āboringā in the way that domesticity is sweet.
Shane is little waves in a lake lapping against the shore. Light and steady.
Shane is laundry detergent that isnāt too fragrant. Just right.
Shane is home. Peace.
Ilya Rozanov met Shane Hollander when he was 17.
Shane and Ilya are timeless to me in a way that goes beyond classic tropes - they find each other in every universe every time
