Last year, you may remember my author’s notes about seeing a production of the Jekyll & Hyde musical. The same cast is doing the show again this year (but with a bigger stage – I’m very proud of them!) and I got to see their promotional performance the other day. If that interests you, I have a video I took here!

My friend invited me to play a campaign of Interstitial, a TTRPG that’s geared towards playing existing fictional characters in a crazy crossover setting. I’m playing Jekyll/Hyde (specifically from this webcomic!) We’ve only had one session so far, and it’s amazing. Dr. Jekyll is currently attempting to give the potion to Tim Stoker of The Magnus Archives, and eyeing up Engineer!Markiplier as another great candidate to Buy His Sinister Potion. Meanwhile in the background, we've got Elmo and Firestar (Fireheart as he's being played). The chaos is wonderful.

Don’t pay too much attention to the street names here. We live in a fantasy version of London in which I don’t have to think too hard about geography, much like we live in the year 18XX where I don't have to think to hard about fashion/politics/etc.

I snuck in a literary reference with that pub name. Relatedly, may I humbly promote some ACD Sherlock art I did recently? This year, a major art goal of mine is to develop a better "illustrative" style, in part because I want to have more eye-catching prints when I table at cons. Ergo, if you've been following my non-comic art journey you'll notice a lot of variety in technique. I'm pretty happy with this piece! I may do some more classic/gothic literature illustrations in this style-- I have a few ideas poking around, but we'll see what comes to fruition.
