Nothing in this dunya is worth it. Nothing remains, nothing really matters, nothing stays. No matter how it is, through the highs and lows, through pain and heartache to relief, all we really have is Allah. Maybe things are the way they are just so you don't forget your absolute and inherent need of Him... so that you don't get carried away. You worship different when your heart is in pain. You worship different when your heart needs Al Jabbar to mend it. There's neither true happiness nor peace in disobedience to Him. Hold on there, until we're home. Put no one above Him and never compromise when it comes to Him. The people who are meant for you will let you be you and will love you for your love of Allah, despite your flaws and shortcomings. And those who are not will find you strange. Let Him guide you through. Let Him heal you. He will grant you that which will become the coolness of your heart.
