I’m sure people already do this but I need art of gillon with this color shift taken into consideration.
Do you think when Gill was on land for the first time he didn’t know he himself was so colourful? or that the world was that colourful?
Headcanon? This is actually canon!! Charlie Slimecicle actually Does use that reason to explain why Gil couldn’t pick out an orange correctly on Loffinlot. He said it’s because “everything in the undersea is always one shade off”
Despite spending all of their time on the sea, we’ve somehow never seen a beach day. But if you sign my petition here-
SPOILERS FOR JRWI RIPTIDE EP 115 !!

losing my mind because caspian is innocent i feel it in my balls but like i was trying to think who else would the mole be??
and it can’t be marshall john— i was about to raise that he couldn’t have feasibly fought off the navy wayy back in episode 1, and perhaps they brought him back in and forced him to be a spy (which could explain his early obsession w/the grand berry pirates and finding lizzie) but like. if this was the case, why would they have put him in the block? let him freeze nearly to death? like usually that’s not what you do with your own spies.
but then also. like. some of my mutuals suggested rudith (hi guys ily muah) and. rudith is a doctor, he had a life previously on joaldo, which is neutral (or is it pirate?) soil. of course, we could ask who trained him? could it have been navy? it’s possible but i just don’t think grizzly would elect for that writing choice. also i believe rudith actually got dropped off in edison kingdom w/his patients. or maybe i’m insane
i think that any other members who joined the grandberry crew just… wouldn’t work out as spies/traitors. they came in way too late. they wouldn’t have as many secrets or intel, wouldn’t be as high in the “ranks”.
but caspian, we don’t really know where he came from. he told gillion a little bit about his family but that’s it.
Unless one of them is a clone and was replaced by a nany operative at some point. We did learn that there are Black Ops clones somewhere out in the world. Maybe that’s why they took John to prison… to switch him out?
Hahah I’m absolutely on copium
How much time have passed since the beginning of Riptide? (up to ep. 115)
The blorbos have been together for ages, it seems like. And they have been, for years for us, but how long exactly has it been for them? Wanna find out?
So ages ago, @glo-katt84 suggested that it would be cool to count the exact amount of days that passed ever since the beginning of the adventure. And I agreed! So for a while now, alongside other data you may know me for counting I also have been recording a detailed log that describes each day briefly and adds it to the toll. I'm gonna very excitedly compress all this data now and put it in numbers, and have a lot of fun with it, so I hope you guys are enjoying it as much as I do!
But first, few clarifications on how I was counting it all:
A single day counts to me as from one morning to another. So it must include a whole day and the long rest, unless they don't sleep, in which case the day ends when Grizzly says: "The new day/morning comes". Or something similar to that.
There are exactly three instances in which Grizzly simplified a certain period as "few days of travel,"/ "few days", both very early on. Aside from that everything else has been remarkably clear, which I'm very impressed by! For these three times however, I decided to count each period as 3 days. Not long enough to be a week, but somewhere in the middle, which is as accurate to "few days" as I can get in this case.
Since everything in the campaign has been counted from the Mana's perspective, the time they spent in Feywilde is counted this way as well. Even if for them it was like a day or two max, their own world did not stop for them. To most, the captains were gone for two weeks, and counting everything in Mana time, then switching to Feywilde time and then back to Mana time would simply create a mess and provide you with genuinely inaccurate number. So we stick by Mana rules. Also including Feywilde time is downright impossible casue they literally spent half of their day in Feywilde and then the other half of the same day in Mana, which creates a whole different clusterfuck of confusion. So Mana time only, trust me. Trying to break down this shit in any other way will make your head hurt.
Alright, so without further ado, the three Riptide captains spent together:
1 day at Zero, half of which already on Loffinlot
15 days on Loffinlot
3 (rough assumption, described as few days) in the Royal Blue Casino
2 days on Desire Island
4 days in Joaldo
3 days in Edison Kingdom
1 day at Duke's
3 days at the B.L.O.C.K
3 days in Allport (first time)
2 days at Noctis
1 day in Liquidis
14 days in the Feywilde (Mana time)
1 day in Allport (second time)
1 day at Zero (before Gillion needs to be emergency Featherbrooked)
1 day at Featherbrook
3 days at Zero (post dying fish crisis)
2 days in Onowa Country
1 day in Promised Bastion (and sea)
1 day (for now and not a full day yet) at the Hole in the Sea
63 days in total on the open sea
So there you have it! Of course, you gotta add a couple of days of Chip and Jay sailing on their own, but from the moment the main three got together, it has been, as exactly as I can feasibly estimate, about 125 days
This constitutes of 62 days spent in various differnet locations and 63 days spent on the sea alone.
This would also make about 4 months of travelling together. And hopefully, many more as the story progresses and comes back after the hiatus.
Anyway, hope you found it as fun to learn, as it was for me to count. Take care everyone <3
Hey! Fun Fact, but I’m actually in the process of counting up the days/other facts of Riptide as well! So I’d love to compare later. However in regards to yours counting it’s been mostly the same as mine, but I do think “a few days” is actually equal to one week, at least for two of the instances if it being used.
Grizzly says they’d been in the Casino for “a few days”, enough to give them a point of exhaustion each. Earl unfortunately doesn’t comment on how long, but it’s enough for the Royale Blue Casino to sail from Mid Royale Ocean up to the C-Mart, which they exited right next to. This could mean that the time they were in there is roughly equal to the amount of time it took to sail Back to Desire Island(maybe a little more if we assume the the Blue Royale is faster/slower than the Albatross)
Other than that, when Chip and Gil have their fight, they claim to have only been a crew for 1 month. They make up after pretty quickly(fact check this? I’m not sure) and then spend “a few days” fucking around until they find John.
When the crew meets up with John and Ollie for the first time, Ollie says that they had been on the sea for 1 and a half months(Grizzly starts by saying 2 months and then corrects himself to 1/half). Later when Chip goes to talk to Ollie about pranks, he says he hasn’t told a lie/done a prank in “One week”.
This means it’s been one week(aprox) since the fight/them leaving the Casino and Two weeks since leaving Loffinlot. Meaning they probably were in the Casino for about a week.
This probably doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, but that’s just what I noticed since I just watched those episodes yesterday.
Hey Love Nikki friends, just a quick question for the hardcore players:
Does anyone know how many feathers of light were supposed to have at this point? If we’ve completed every single quest so far?
Now I’m probably late to the discussion but JRWI fans… what do we think the stick is? Because honestly it’s been eating me alive ever since it was brought up again a few eps back.
Just for a Recap:
-The stick was found in Captain Tastrius’ treasure
-They tried investigating the stick back on the ship but no matter what they did nothing happened
-When Chip met with Niklaus he decided (for whatever fucking reason???) to leave the stick there(maybe assuming it would do something in their favour?)
-When Chip met with Niklaus again in the black sea, Niklaus had found the stick, and when Chip asked about it, he started guarding it, seemingly not wanting to lose it.
I did some digging and it’s theorized that the stick was actually from a different campaign ran by JoCat, an object of immense power that the players there never actually used, because they assumed it was just a normal stick. Whether or not it was meant to be the same stick is unclear… maybe they’ve actually confirmed this on Just Rolled with it and I’ve never seen it but it’s still an interesting connection
Anyways all that to say this thing drives me insane, and I NEED to know what it does at some point or I will riot.
So… any theories?
There’s actually a wiki page for it, it’s called the Stick of Stickiness. Go check it out honestly

The commute from the goblin suburbs to the goblin city must be a nightmare for the goblin middle class
My favorite thing about Labyrinth is the fact that Jareth has like 13 billion outfit changes over the course of the film
Here's the thing about Jareth from Labyrinth right?
He's made up.
That's not necessarily the same thing as not REAL. But he, just like all her friends who show up in her room before her adventure as toys and figurines, exist in relation to her, in response to what she wanted and needed. She told the story and there he was, there he always had been. But she's a teenage girl who doesn't know what she wants yet, and Jareth kind of pays the price.
"but the king of the goblins had fallen in love with the girl, and had given her certain powers." He's an archetypal oxymoron. He's both the dastardly baby stealing villain and the royal love interest trying to relieve the heroine's suffering, Cinderella style. He's fucked either way by being both. She doesn't know if SHE wants to be the villain or the heroine until he shows up and then she decides on the heroine, so he has to sneer and menace and challenge but it's too late for him!! it's too late, The King Of The Goblins Had Fallen In Love With the Girl, he's Cinderella's prince too and he has to try, he gives her a poofy dress and takes her to fucking goblin prom, sweeps her around the room like a music box with perfect posture and room for Jesus.
But it doesn't work buddy, it can't work. You're just a story for a teen girl to grow up in, and as the villain you have to be defeated. He's so complex because his tropes contradict themselves, and he doesn't understand why he has to lose when he was only doing the job he was given. In his last scene he is pale as death with shadows under his eyes, backing away and begging for his happy ending with nonsense mishmash promises that belong to both halves of him.
"I am exhausted from living up to your expectations of me." I'm sure you are, Jareth. No wonder.
someone once referred to Jareth as Sarah's personalized Tumblr Sexyman and I can't stop thinking about it
Legend has it she still flops around ireland👀

Never before have I been so called out for something I didn’t even know about.
do you ever think about how in the 90s and 00s, collecting luxury shoes was seen as not only a Woman Thing but like, the height of Feminine Foolishness? at least in mainstream white american culture, it was a focus of misogyny that women buy a lot of nice shoes and men don't, and men are smarter and more practical for it. anyway now luxury sneakers are a major part of popular masculinity, Fake Jordans is a meme, shoes are for men now. that happened in my lifetime. like it's one thing to read about how the makers of gender are fluid and cultural, it's another to experience it myself.
i think this illustrates just how much ideas of gender are shaped by the forces of consumerism
Being in both hermitcraft and naruto fandoms is so funny because I see this man and I have to guess based on context clues whether it's a fucking ninja or some guy in a block game
