There's only one man Michael loved unconditionally his whole life, and that man is his father.

Art i made for FNAF"s 10th aniversery
I think the saddest part about it all is that even in the end, Michael chose to die in the same place as his father. As they both burn into ashes and disintegrate into the air I can't help but wonder what Michael thought of his father at that moment just before their demise. I can imagine it probably wasn't a very positive review of the man-turn-monster, but at the same time I feel like Michael would've blamed himself for everything, even now towards the end, he still thinks it's his fault. For it was him who started it all.
All this rage, all this misery, it was a mistake that spiralled out of control.
So Michael can blame his father for a lot of things, rightfully so too. Yet the one thing he wouldn't blame his father for is if William hated him. If William's hatred for him was so vitriol that it may transcend death then so be it. Like father like son.
"I wanted you to hate me so you'd know I was still there. I wanted you to hate me."
Aurora Borealis (Frederic Edwin Church, 1865)
