A invitation to the dance of creativity
The whole thing was.. unplanned. The idea of a 30s AU has been stuck inside my mind for a while, but only when I got triggered by a song in my playlist (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - Save My Soul), I came to understand that it’s finally time for it all to begin. I had nothing planned, but I surely wanted to make Jack and Gabe dance to the music of those times, because damn, swing is such an expressive and energic dance! However, the whole idea was embraced by you all so warmly, that it sticked to me even more. I wanted to see more of it myself too, so I kept creating..Â
I kept creating until others started to create along my side. Beautiful writers like @indiana-gold, @ask-philotes and @slytherinladyknight added their visions to most of the artworks I was posting and other artists responded with artworks as well. It was magic. Â
However, even if I bonded with each word you guys wrote, with each line you traced along with me for this AU, there was a certain invitation to dance into the story deeper. The creative exchanges I started to have with @slytherinladyknight were slowly sliding from the public appearances you all cheered with us, to a rather private exchange of thoughts. We kept on inviting each other, with an artwork or a piece of writing, until it all escaled to a full length story.Â
A love story that was created with love for our beloved pair of Jack Morrison and Gabriel Reyes. A one of a kind co-op I never thought I would experience. The closest I’ve ever been to dance, more or less literally.
I am done with my rant, so I invite you all to join us in a journey back into the 30s!
