lord gendry && lady corenna
â @salvationpassedÂ
they called her the heart of the stormlands â a moniker he believed would be more appropriate for a baratheon, the true beating heart of their little plots of land: but who was he to disagree? who was he to comment? naught more than a lord of a cape, a rainy peninsula and descended from smugglers. of course, commenting wasnât in his nature â his words had been stolen from him a long time ago, and not even that of steady we sail⌠could bring them back.
his head quirked just so, watching the blonde flit this way and that; trying in vain to find a topic to discuss. they were both stormlanders, yet so very different in apperance, name and circumstance. âlady dondarrion.â gendry choked out, a brow arching just so. he knew what he looked like â tall and black haired in appearance, intimidating and unable to speak his mind. he knew people feared him; knew they whispered he killed his brother to take the seat for himself.
none of it was true, yet gendry never had the words to refute. âhow⌠pleasent it is for⌠a f â fellow stormlander. to be here.â
Corenna didnât fit in around the people from the stormlands, fair skin, pale blonde hair and such striking blue eyes her mother used to call them her drops of the sea. Even compared to her brothers, she looked nothing like a Dondarrion but there she stood, one quite proudly in fact.
The crownlands always seemed so much brighter, more vibrant, than the rest of her world, and she had fallen in love with it. She seemingly floated on air as she moved in Kings Landing, seeing who she knew, she had seen him before, her brother would know what more to say, but the idle talk was a ladyâs specialty.
âLord Seaworth,â Her voice is a smooth as honey, as she gave him a small nod. Eyes glanced around the courtyard, many still dressed in black, almost all in fact. and the ones who didnât had a black band or shall in order to sustain themselves till presumably the seamstress or one of their servants get them beautiful black attire.
Blond curls are pushed back from her face, a black and pearl band sat around the base of her head, holding it in place, as she smiled at the other. âIt is a sense of, safety to have people from our home, with us here. As beautiful it is, one can only assume every flower her has a thorn. Those from the stormlands, they donât have such unnecessary...festivities.â Eyes lower as she changes her mind quickly, almost seamlessly.
Corenna had never seen such elegance in a building. Backhaven had always been so dreary but the red keep was so bright, light streaming from seemingly everywhere. The young lady of blackhaven watched as servants and other nobles walked around the courtyard from above. She jumped slightly at the sound of steps right behind her. âOh!! Am I in the way?? Or were you just looking for me???â
ENDLESS LIST OF ALL MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS: LUCREZIA BORGIA
You are the scandal of Italy. You are also the envy of Italy.
lord meron && lady leona
she seemed reluctant, but she did agree to keep him company tonight. he appreciated it immensely â that way he was less likely to be alone when his family caught up with him, and less likely to disappear to his rooms or anywhere else long before the festivities had finished. âthank you, my lady, i think we will have a wonderful time,â he said with a little bow. âi think first, we should indulge. have you tasted the hen?â
It had been so long since Leona had gone to a ball to just enjoy herself. It was so foreign to her, and yet she hadnât been so happy in ages. Giving a curtsey to Maron she laughed. âI already am, my lord.â Moving so she was standing at his side she shook her head. âI have not, Iâve only tasted the spiced wine, which is amazing, but I would enjoy some indulgence.â
lord meron &&Â lady leona
like the tide, he repeated in his head, finding some strange sort of peace in the sentiment. a fitting saying for two children of the sea like themselves. âconstantly,â he agreed softly. abruptly, she pulled away from him, but he doubted any wandering eyes had dwelled long on their exchange. âplease, leona, donât make me celebrate on my own,â he said, mostly teasing. âiâve got the sweetest of all the ladies here right in front of me.â
She nodded at the soft words before rolling her eyes. It had been so long since Leona had enjoyed festivities. She hardly even celebrated her own name day anymore, seemingly only noticing the absence of her brothers. Shaking her head slightly, Leona decided not to put up a fight, she wished to keep him happy after not seeing him for so long. âFlattery will only get you so far, Lord Greyjoy.âShe teased back before brushing her hands off on her deep blue skirt. âNow, how shall we celebrate??â
lord meron && lady leona
he could see plain on her face the memory of it, and wondered briefly if that was what he looked like when he thought of home. she may have been right. he would be almost part of the royal family now. but did it matter, when his family had cast him out long before? the thought hammered at his resolve, but his face remained stoic; even smiling. âi suppose youâre right. lots of things are changing in westeros.â he nodded with her. âand we should join the festivities, shouldnât we?â
âmy sweet little lord, Westeros is like the tide constantly changing.â Itâs something her father always said and to this day it meant so much. eyes float over the people surrounding them, she had forgotten that they were so public. Quickly her returned to her self her fingers dance together as her eyes finally go back to him. âSometimes festivities are enjoyable and other times... itâs better to just watch, but donât make me keep you, find yourself a sweet little lady.â
princess helaena && lady corenna
   all evening all anyone had to say to helaena were their congratulations on her betrothal. she knew eventually her father would find her a match, undoubtedly one she did not want, but that didnât make her any less annoyed at the announcement that she would be wed. she wanted nothing more than to scream the next time she heard the word congratulations come from someoneâs mouth. the princess let out a sigh as she saw another guest approach her, âif you have nothing better to discuss than my upcoming nuptials, you can go, i do not wish to hear another word of my betrothal.â
At the announcement, Corenna couldnât help the uneasy mix of excitement for the princesses and dread for her own future. The rest of the celebrations were enjoyed by ignoring the feeling growing in her stomach before eyes landed on Helaena. The lady made her way over to the princess but before she could even say a word, Helaena spoke and Corenna bowed her head. âPrincess, I didnât mean to upset you, I only came to make sure you were enjoying yourself, your highness. Yet, now Iâm just wondering if there was anything I could do to keep your mind off of...the nuptials.â
lord meron && lady leona
his smile turned sad when she asked about home, and he shook his head. âif i could come back just to see you, i would. but iâve heard nothing of the sort from them, so i wouldnât hope quite so hard.â it warmed his heart to know leona missed him, even if no one else did. he almost laughed, about rickonâs betrothal, and nodded. âyes, i did, and i am very glad for him. itâs a good match.â
she felt the pain of sorrow in her chest. He was so young and yet she felt as if he had been gone from her for centuries. Of course, she had no true claim to him but seeing him being taken to Stormâs End had broken the young girl's heart for him, to see such potential being stolen from his family. â Your sister-in-law will be the princess, you have a say now. You are not just a ward anymore.â She nodded softly at his comment about the match. âI hope they are happy, so many are not with their matches nowadays.â Her tight hair hardly moved as she turned to look around at the party goers. âBut everyone seems happy so far.â
lord meron && lady leona
the young lord first froze at her embrace, not used to such a warm show of affection, then his hands melted around her waist and he tugged her close. âand i you. itâs been far too long since weâve seen each other,â he agreed when they pulled away. he hadnât been looking forward to this trip to kingâs landing, knowing heâd be faced with his family and his new home colliding, but he had completely overlooked that it might also bring him an old friend. âat least these silly parties are good for something, eh?â
Her hands moved to his shoulders, looking at his face, she could hardly recognize him beside the eyes, she would know those eyes anywhere. âYouâve been gone for far too long, will you be returning to the Iron islands with your family?? You must please...â She hated that she sounded as if she was begging, but after the death of her brothers she felt so alone and just seeing the youngest greyjoy brother. âThese parties bring many, many good things. Did you not hear about your brother??âÂ
