SCOPOPHOBIA
[noun]
or scoptophobia (from Greek σκοπέω - skopeō, “look to, examine” and φόβος - phobos, “fear”); an anxiety disorder characterised by a morbid fear of being seen or stared at by others.
My first salvia trip :D
The image displays good representation of how one’s vision is perceived on sub-breakthrough dosages of salvia divinorum.
Everyday vision is placed on a warped screen in front of the user’s eyes. This allows the user to see the space around their own vision, as shown in the picture. However the space is not necessarily black (in fact it would be better described as the colours and shapes viewed in the mind’s eye) and the user may struggle to view this space in the same fashion that one would struggle to give their full attention to their peripheral vision. In addition to this effect feelings of terror and/or confusion may arise especially in bright or noisey environments as well as a feeling that one is vibrating extremely fast.
When one closes their eyes they may experience the sensation of being pulled backwards or to the side (commonly known as saliva gravity). Accompanying these phenomena the user may also hear faint, indistinguishable voices that seem to be in the distance. These voices are perceived through the mind’s ear and although they can be said to be far away it is very hard to tell in which direction they originate from.
I could not locate a source for this image that I found on reddit.
