Writing for the well-respected brand, Nutrimetics, was an absolute thrill. Not only was I asked to write copy for their Summer Brochure I also wrote and edited their annual catalogue - helping tell the story of how Nutrimetics came to be, as well as introduce some very exciting new products!
East Coast Wildflowers
“The farm: Where the wild things are
Wild, untamed and bursting with colour, the East Coast Wildflowers farm is home to some of Australia’s most iconic blooms - growing over 100 different varieties of flowers, pods and foliages. For us, the bush is a place of untapped wonder - we are constantly in awe of what nature creates and we love nothing more than growing something that is uniquely Australian. Days on our Mangrove Mountain property, Passchendale, are spent picking, planting and foraging treasures such as grevilleas, eucalyptus and banksias that are then packed and lovingly transported to the Sydney Flower Markets to sell. It is a labour of love, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
All throughout the year there are different things to look forward to; as the landscape changes so do the colours and textures found on the farm. Christmas is an especially special time, the hot summers days are decorated with the vibrant reds and pinks of Christmas bush, gum blossom and kangaroo paw - with long hot days ending with a cool and refreshing swim in the dam. When the cooler months roll around, it is time to replant tidy the farm in time for Springtime when we welcome fields bursting with waratahs and paper daisies, just to name a few.
This part of the world is rich in history and we see ourselves more as custodians of the land rather than landowners. Aboriginal cave paintings and artefacts are dotted around the farm and we feel immense pride in ensuring that the indigenous heritage is preserved. The road leading onto the property is named after Walter Kirk, a WW1 veteran who upon returning from war settled here with his family. The Kirks remained in the area until the 50s and it was them who named the farm Passchendale after the infamous fight in the Great War.
The property was originally purchased by my father in 1968 and now, a trip to the Passchendale is met with 100 metre rows of diverse blooms and foliages that are uniquely Australian. Since moving here we have grown along side the naturally thriving blooms and more cultivated gardens - and we feel blessed to call it home.”
I was asked to write intro web copy recently for one of my favourite flower growers in the country. This is one of the things that I love most - storytelling. We all have a story and it was a privilege to tell the story of how the Scotts became one of the most well-respected flower growers in the country.
Earlier this year I was asked to work on a range of copy for PLAN Australia; one of Australia's largest mortgage aggregation groups. I worked on a range of projects for them including information about their annual conference, this time held in Adelaide.
My work with Neighbourly.com.au (a division of Fairfax Media) as their Head of Marketing has seen me develop and establish their entire marketing and advertising output, repurpose, write and promote all content, arrange media interviews, photoshoots and manage large-scale promotional events. It has also seen me revisit my days as a journo - with the added privilege of working with the wonderful team at The Leader, promoting the features and benefits of the site. Here is a small selection of my pieces that went to print:

I was recently asked to contribute some articles for philosophical / spiritual news site SoulSpot. As someone who is interested in new-world thinking, I really enjoyed the opportunity. My articles have been shared multiple times and read by over 100K people. Not too shabby! SoulSpot publish primarily motivational articles to inspire people to push themselves beyond their comfort zone, to be brave and creative. Thanks for having me guys!
About me
I love working with start-ups and new and exciting brands. A perfect example is The Social Collective. I have had the great pleasure of working with the charming Russy Ross on a range of marketing activities but most recently I was asked to write and create a pitch deck and letter for him. This doc is crucial for general brand awareness, to develop their ToV, acquisitions and was also used to pitch Russy in as a contestant on That Start-Up Show! - such an honour. Russ had this to say about working with me:
“As the founder and director or The Social Collective people and relationships are important to us. The cornerstone of our business about connecting with people, and we were incredibly lucky to have connected with Sam. Not only did she create and edit well-written articles and copy for our business she did so in a way that helped me effectively reach the kind of people in my target market. Sam also went above and beyond to provide a service that was incredible on all levels from the quality of her work to her consultations. I look forward to working with her again.” You’re making me blush Russ!

About me
I love working for good people and last year I was lucky enough to be asked to write copy for Starlight Children's Foundation and their 5 Chef's Dinner. This was a big gig, writing inspiring copy to entice potential investors to bid on some fantastic prizes. It was an awesome project and I am super grateful to have been asked to work for such a worthy cause.
About me

As part of my multifaceted role as their marketing manager.
Designed to complement their education initiatives regarding the detrimental environmental impacts of diesel and fossil fuels, with a positive message. They wanted to inspire and empower. Using one of my stock images we developed the graphic idea at Soma Studios. Expect to see some very big things from this new player in the sustainable energy market.
About me
\\Passion project
The EX-O is a relationship drama set in Sydney. It follows three best friends who have just crossed over into their 30s; thinking that they should have their ‘shit together’ but are actually far from it. They are addicted to sharing music together, it is a way that they communicate and make sense of their world.
The show looks at how these friends live, love, listen and learn in their city. More than just a beautiful backdrop, Sydney is the fourth character, with The EX-O exploring the nooks and crannies of the city they call home.
Tackling modern issues of infidelity, promiscuity, parenting, and self-discovery the show is not afraid to visit the past, as it is often our ex relationships inform how we love in the future.
Through powerful musical and emotional triggers, we are invited into a year in the lives of these friends, sharing love, loss and everything in between whilst evolving the growing soundtracks to their lives.
The EX-O is my baby and has been a passion project of mine for a while now. It has gained a lot of attention both locally and overseas and has the support of the following major players:

Grant Thomas (Ex-Manager Crowded House)
Anthony Frewin (Stanley Kubrick's long term assistant- UK)
John Gregory (CEO of Freehand TV)
Katherine Sainty (Leading IP Lawyer and Director of Sainty Law)
