Went to an impromptu concert in Dallas with my best friend to relive our teenage years.
Then all the way to Saint Louis with my partner to see my favorite lyricist of all time, John Darnielle.
Soon, I'll officially start my training for FPI, I have already done a bit of training while waiting for my replacement and I've really enjoyed the job so far. Just got to put in the hours and pass my certification test and I'll be officially be a part of Aviation Quality department. It's weird, I never thought I'd be in this industry, nor that I'd have a job with paid vacation and health insurance. But here I am, two years later, diving further in.
It's so fucked up that healthcare is tied to employment.
Anyway, spring was beautiful and I feel like I took it for granted. Writing as a hobby has got me on my laptop constantly, but it truly has been a rewarding experience. Between that, my job and climbing, my days are full of go-go-go.
The beginning of summer will also be jam-packed, but come August, things will hopefully be a bit slower.
Until next year, Upper Buffalo River♡
(I'm so thankful we got to float it on the last day of spring (and it's wild because Steel Creek usually isn't floatable in June, but with the rain we've been having... it may even be floatable this week))
