Last but absolutely not least, Three Floyds beer never ceases to amaze me. Although it is in the complete opposite direction of my style as a designer, I am always in awe of the badass illustrations Floyds get for their brews. Absolutely amazing. They are all intricate and always have awesome scenes going on. They are also almost all very dark and demonic looking, except for a select few. (via It's the end of the World as we know it... / "Zombie Dust" beer: Because everyone looks forward ...)
Again this is for wine and not beer but I still love the design. I like the very vintage and modern feel that the designer was able to accomplish with this particular bottle. Although it is overcome by text, it isn't boring text so I feel the consumer would still want to read it, especially if they're enjoying a glass by themselves. (via Packaging | 2/9 | Serifs & Sans)
This is one of my favorite package designs. I absolutely love the color palette, the wood grain the designer put on the package, the choice of typeface, and the small simple illustrations of trees. (via package design / STUMPY packaging)
Although this is wine and not beer, I think this design is awesome because it is a play on words. This design is for table wine, and the designer used a table as the main design element. It is very sleek and modern and makes the bottle look classy, even though it is just table wine. The use of blacks and greys also lends to the very modern and classic look as well. All of Sixpoint's beers have the same design, they are just differentiated by color and obviously text to tell you what each different one is. I love Sixpoint's simplistic design because it is really easy to figure out what the name is and what kind of beer it is. The can shape is also really awesome because it is taller and thinner than your average can of beer. (via Sixpoint Brewery Packaging)
I love the color palette of this package design and the way the designer uses text as the main design elements. There are a few illustrations but the package is mostly text. It's very informative about the beer which is a neat concept since most beer package design has illustration more than text. (via Designs, Posters, and Patterns / feminine beer package design)
I LOVE Kona's packaging! The border of every package is surrounded by palm trees which is the main design element that relates them all together. Kona is a brewing company from Hawaii so all their packages are Hawaiian themed and full of color. Although this typically isn't the style I tend to lean towards, I still find it very successful and intriguing. I really just love simplicity in design and I again think this designer pulled it off really well. The only indicator for the difference of beer is the design element on top wrapped around the bottle where it says what kind it is. I like the geometric shapes they used for the "hops" as a design element. The entire design is very cohesive and flows really well. (via Student Spotlight: Holy Balls Brewing Co. - The Dieline -)
