something about the fact that movie!stratt doesnt wear regular ol business casual or a suit is such a cool and telling costuming choice. heres a woman who has all the power in the world and she chooses to be cozy because she can. because she has no reason to dress up and be overly formal. she doesnt need to project any overt sense of authority or respectability or competence because by nature of her position and actions everyone who meets her already knows shes in possession of all of those things. it would be redundant. it would be like wearing a hat that says this is a hat. the hope of humanity doesnt come dressed for a board room or an award ceremony, there are no medals pinned to her chest or cufflinks gleaming on her wrists. eva stratt knows what shes doing and she doesnt have enough time or fucks to give to squeeze herself into a fitted jacket or have her shirts starched.
