Yo. Everyone is having a pop at Hungary for suddenly stopping trains. What they’re not telling you is Germany has actually asked them to stop letting people in without the appropriate paper work.

“Due to recent events the German Embassy Budapest allows itself to point out the following: The Dublin III Regulation is the law in Europe. It determines that asylum seekers will be registered in the country and go through the asylum procedure, in which they entered the European Union. Germany insists on compliance with these obligations.The registration of refugees after crossing the border and the implementation of asylum procedures remain thus fully required. The efforts being made under sometimes difficult conditions in each country to register the large number of refugees are laudable.In the spirit of EU solidarity, we need a fair distribution of refugees and EU-wide standards that are adhered to in each EU Member State.”

Media as always is only giving us half the information. Naturally and understandably, the refugees will experience a distrust for the registration process and the concept of a camp is daunting and chilling to say the least. But on the other side of the coin. Moving hundreds of thousands of human lives safely is not a trivial thing for the people and the governments involved. The authorities can’t just let people roam/sleep on the streets, stay on trains or chill on train tracks. There is a lot of fear and tension and we know we as humans don’t do well under these conditions. We can only hope their migration process can be as smooth as possible.

As for the man and wife throwing “themselves“ on train tracks. It was infact the man who threw his wife and child onto the tracks and then himself. I don’t know about you, but if you’ve had enough and want to injure yourself in protest, don’t drag someone else especially your infant child into harms way.

Knowing another language is amazing. Knowing 3 other languages can be astonishing and at times, confusing...

My native tongue is Turkish and I speak English, German and French. While I was learning French (very heavily I might add), I took the tram and started listening on a conversation between two girls sitting behind me. After listening to them for about 2-3 minutes, I started paying attention and that's when I realised that they were speaking French! I didn't even realize this until they mentioned that they will visit Turkey again next summer.

For the second story, a little background: At that time, I was playing a video game called The Saboteur. It is a video game set during World War II in Nazi-occupied France. One night in my dream, I was an undercover British intelligence officer in Paris during the Nazi occupation. I remember observing both the Nazi soldiers and French people and listening to them in their own languages. And then reporting what I've heard to Britain HQ in English. I was so afraid of talking about this dream with anyone because I thought that this would be considered very strange (like mental institution level strange)...

There are also some minor drawbacks. While talking with your friends and using a foreign word because you couldn't remember it in your own native tongue is pretty confusing...

Some bulletpoints:

The plan is ridiculously costly and ignores the fact that the only electronic more expensive per square foot than solar cells is LED signage, both of which are called for in the plan.

The bumps on the prototype Solar Roadway glass hexagons are about an inch apart. A car driving at highway speeds moves about 100 feet per second, so the bumps would make a very well-defined tone of about 1 kHz. That's a medium-pitched whine. Get used to it, because you'll hear it ALL THE TIME.

Putting these in parking areas will result in one thing: When cars park on these areas, they will block the sun. So it won't do the only thing that it was designed to do: Collecting solar rays.

They passed $1.4 million in crowdfunding: Just short of the $56 trillion required (after all the real World calculations)

They say that heating pads will melt the snow and ice in the winter. Winter, the only time of the year when the sun rays will be the lowest. They will use the little sun rays that they receive to melt the snow (which is borderline impossible from a thermodynamic point).

The part where they say they use recycled material for the solar panels is a lie: You can't make clear glass (which is a requirement if you want the sun rays to pass the protective glass) from ground-up colored glass. So not nearly environmentally friendly as they make it seem.

I'm not saying you shouldn't give your donations. I just think making the donation based on scientific information and real-world calculations would be better for everyone...

I'd also like to point out in regard to the 'Dad' and 'Daddy' issue/ask sent in that Daddy is a more affectionate and friendly term than Dad, and it's entirely possible Lily's relationship with Mitch has evolved to the point she feels closer to him and wants to call him Daddy too. That, and she's a child, she's not going to be working over time to differentiate between the two terms.
