Everything on C-239’s ‘earth’ has evolved from plants, insects, and fungi. The people on it are a very specific combination of all three, resulting in very uniquely layered flesh. Similar to the ‘human’ species in That's Amorte s7e4, this flesh is incredibly tasty to non-members of this race and they are frequently hunted. C-239 Rick lived through a dystopian era because of this, and lead him to make their planet virtually invisible and undiscovered to other species. This species is aware of other worldly life and even other dimensions but avoids them for obvious reasons. There are variations in their color, antennae, ear shape, and more. The gender of one of them can only be discerned by what hormones they produce (shown through pollen) due to their androgynous genitalia.They have evolutionarily developed very sharp teeth, sharp claws, venom, and the ability to camouflage into various plants. Rick (like the asshole he is) still takes Morty on adventures in space and find different ways to conceal themselves each time because Rick’s to fucking lazy to just make a suit or smth.

A lot of fans are saying that Field of Dreams is a obvious sign that Morty is toxic in his own ways and him wanting love hurts people around him just doesn’t make sense to me. Morty “ruining MIT Rick’s life” alone would be fucking insane. He just shows up and asks for help to get back (wtf else was he supposed to do stay in that universe??) Morty clearly doesn’t like who MIT Rick turns into and there’s no way Morty’s mere presence enables him to alcoholism.

I think it was supposed to be a reminder to not get caught up in better lives in different universes— like Rixty Minutes but for Morty, and was to show that portal travel (the idea of an infinite expanse of possibilities where you’re always the smartest guy around) is what really ruins Rick every time.
