Mirena ruined my life.
So I got my Mirena IUD inserted at the end of June 2017 because pills gave me migraines from hell and eventually they would need to up my dose every few months. I have been on 4 different bc pills, so my gyn suggested the Mirena IUD. It would be perfect for me and my situation she said. No horrible side effects she said. Yeah right.
Fast forward to December 2017. I had cystic acne covering my face. Both sides of my cheeks were covered and my chin. I have NEVER had acne except for the occasional pimple or two during my period. I gained 15-20 lbs, was bloated every single day, my hair was falling out, and was unbelievably moody. I got it removed at the end of December 2017 before Christmas.
It is now, May 4, 2018 and I have dark spots covering my face. I am currently on 3 medications that my dermatologist prescribed and they are SLOWLY healing my face. Trying to lose the weight I gained is harder than ever and it use to be EASY for me to maintain my weight before the Mirena IUD. The bloating took months before it went away. My family doctor actually had me get an ultrasound on my ovaries to make sure I didn’t have any cysts on them because apparently women were getting cysts while on Mirena. My hair has stopped falling out as much as it was and my mood has definitely improved. Please, if you are thinking about the Mirena IUD, google it first. There are tons of stories just like mine on the internet. It works for some people, but if it does not work for you, the consequences could be terrifying. I wish I would have done more research before I got mine.

Come on people
How long is it going to take for people to realize wild animals and humans don’t mix well together.
If you’re ever lucky enough to find a girl who is a hopeless romantic with a dirty mind, you should hold onto that. Because she’ll be yours at two in the morning and at two in the afternoon the following day. She’ll kiss you where it hurts and until it hurts. And that’s important. Someone who not only knows how to turn you on but also knows how to treat you right is someone worth a little something… and a little more than usual.

One day, I’m going to be a wife and a mother. I will come home from work to my own little family. I will wake up and fall asleep next to the person I love. We will be the ones that help teach our children to walk, talk, ride a bike, and be a good person. How incredible is that to think about? That “one day” isn’t just an idea, but that it’s actually going to happen?
