I am Sundus, a young mother from Gaza, sharing the story of my baby daughter, Tala, who was born on February 20, 2024, in the middle of war, bombings, and displacement.
Tala came into this world already fighting for her life—she was born with a severe hand deformity, missing three fingers, and her fragile health is the result of the hardships I endured during pregnancy.
Just days after her birth, our home was destroyed, and since then, we have struggled to survive with no shelter, no safety, and no access to the medical care Tala urgently needs.
With reconstructive surgery, Tala could regain the use of her hand and live with dignity, confidence, and hope for a brighter future.
Without it, she faces a lifetime of stigma, disability, and suffering.
But as a displaced mother in Gaza, I cannot afford this life-changing treatment. That is why I am reaching out to you

Help Baby Tala: A Victim of War Needs Surgery
I am organizing this fundraiser for Sundus, a young mother from Gaza, and her newborn daughter Tala.
On February 20, 2024, amidst constant bombing, hunger, and lack of medical care, Sundus gave birth to Tala. The baby was born with a severe hand deformity, missing three fingers, and a fragile body due to the hardships during pregnancy. Just days after her birth, their home was completely destroyed.
This family has lost everything. They now dream of giving Tala a chance at reconstructive surgery so she can live with dignity and without fear of bullying. The medical costs, however, are far beyond their reach.
I am reaching out on their behalf to ask for your help. Every contribution will bring Tala closer to the surgery and care she desperately needs.
