The hot liquid ran down her dark colored tshirt, causing it to stick even more than the tight material had already. She couldn’t help but allow a gasp escape her lips as the heat soaked into her now wet skin, but she heard the meek voice behind the spill and shook her head. “No, no, don’t worry,” she insisted. “I didn’t make your drink, though. No sense in throwing it on me,” she joked, trying to lighten the mood.
while she was speaking, he was running over to yank some paper napkins from the holder. he pressed one down his own shirt, thankful that this hadn’t been his extra hot latte or they’d both be in considerably more pain. he reached out, almost about to press a napkin to her chest to soak up the liquid, and then realized that if he did that he’d be groping her chest and that was generally frowned upon so he swallowed and stopped short. “uh, here.” he handed the napkins off. “again, so, so sorry. i’m not usually this clumsy. really. i know you probably don’t believe that but i tend to be very well put together...sort of.” he smiled a bit at her joke and then realized that he didn’t really recognize her, which was fairly unusual for him. “sorry, uh...do you live around here?”
