Maya’s relationship with Aya was… strange. At least on her side, considering Aya never seemed excited to be around her, or - well, she couldn’t quite pinpoint it, but Maya found it cute, anyways, so she found herself coming back more and more, offering to spend more time with her in hopes that it would loosen her up. The texts she’d received before had only inspired her to invite her out for the night, and now she was sitting alone and waiting for Aya to show up, impatiently tapping her nails against her glass. When Aya suddenly appeared, grabbing onto her arm, Maya let out a huff, looking at her in confusion before peering up at the strange man who seemed to be eyeing Aya like she was something he wanted to rip apart… or at least that’s how Maya saw it, but any creepy look from a man was far too intense in her book. “Is he bothering you?” Maya’s gaze shifted to concern, looking at the other girl before peering up at the guy again. “We get it. You’re so desperate all it takes is seeing a pretty girl and your dick’s hard, and you have no impulse control because your father taught you that girls are nothing but a piece of meat, but sadly for you, this girl’s taken. Very gay, actually, so there’s a negative a thousand chance of you getting into her pants. Or seeing me get into her pants, weirdo, so don’t even open that mouth of yours just… shoo.” She gave a quick gesture, before immediately looking away, not even caring what he did next. “I was starting to think you stood me up.”
At the question, Aya at first had opened her mouth to say that it was fine, but it was pretty clear from her body language that she was uncomfortable and finally she found herself nodding. Of course Aya had watched Maya turn down plenty of men in the past and she knew that the girl was good at being blunt and harsh when the situation called for it, but she couldn’t help the bright blush that appeared on her features as the girl went on. For a moment part of her even forgot that it wasn’t real and she could feel her heart rate picking up before she talked herself into calming down again. “What she said. I’m not... I’m really sorry but I’m not interested,” she ventured, confidence to say that only coming from the fact she was still holding onto Maya and trusting that nothing bad would happen with her there, a naive hope maybe. “Stand you up? I would never. I just... I got drinks,” Aya said, gesturing to the glasses she’d set down at the table. “After all, you came all this way to spend time with me, so I thought I’d buy them tonight.” Giving the other girl a smile, she slowly released her arm and scooted over slightly, realizing she might have been too far in the other’s personal space. “I can... move to the other side now if you want me to.”
