Her face scrunched up in concentration, almost as if she believed that if she put her entire focus on this one thing that it would work. The blonde repeated her actions with breath held as she waited to see if the bike would roar to life.
Sam twisted the wires again and te hum of the engine roared to life. “Fuck yes.” He replaced the wires and closed the engine compartment and stood up. “Thank you for the help.”
opheliaxdaye:
“Okay!” Ophelia did as she was told and then waited for further instructions.
*the engine doesn’t start up* Do it again.
opheliaxdaye:
“Okay! Let me know when you’re ready!”
Connects the wires and looks up at her* Okay go ahead.”
opheliaxdaye:
She walked over, peering at the side of the bike. The blonde nodded her head once she saw it. “You’re gonna hold it, right?”
“Yes. You aren’t going to move. I just need you to rev the engine so I can jump it.”
samuel-parrish:
“I can see that.” he chuckled. He turns toward his bike. “Want to help me get this back to my garage?”
“Sure! What do you want me to do?”
“Come over here.” he waves her over and shoes her the kick start on the side of the bike. “See that lever? All you need to do it get on and kick that lever when I say to.” He looks over at her.
samuel-parrish:
“Maybe you should take the hint that I don’t want to and stop asking.”
“Oh, I’m not good at taking hints. They go right over my head!”
“I can see that.” he chuckled. He turns toward his bike. “Want to help me get this back to my garage?”
samuel-parrish:
“Because I’m not a walking book.”
“Obviously. Otherwise you would have answered at least one of my questions.”
“Maybe you should take the hint that I don’t want to and stop asking.”
opheliaxdaye:
“Because I’m a curious person. Why don’t you answer them?”
“Because I’m not a walking book.”
The rain had finally stopped in Silver Lake, but that didn’t mean it didn’t linger. The streets had turned into what could have been considered small rivers and nearly every pool in the town was on the verge of overflowing, and every girl who had magically avoided the rain was about to have a bad hair day with the humidity that hung tightly in the air.
Daisy, however, had been feeling the gloom of the day all week. Her only saving grace was the single dance class she taught at the studio and the hope that only half the class would attend due to the weather. She had changed after her class at Beachwood and rushed off campus to avoid running into any of her former friends who surely mock her for the incident from last Friday’s party. But because she was caught up in her own thoughts, she wasn’t weary enough of the other college students speeding down the road with little consideration for the puddles. In an instant, Daisy was splashed- soaked from head to toe with stringy hair and borderline racoon eyes,
“Hey, asshole!” She called out to the car that had slowed down in an attempt to appear innocent. Though she was dripping wet, the spitfire in her had not been put out and she held a single finger up at them.
Samuel was having a pretty off day. For the past few night he hasn’t been sleeping right. Each time he closed his eyes, the face of his father would appear, keeping him away. Not wanting to sleep and wanting to calm his nerves, Sam would smoke a bowl or a joint and have a cup of coffee.
This repeated motion turned him into a sort of human zombie. He had been drifting through life with grunts and little words to those who spoke to him. When his work shift at the auto shop was finally over, Sam was on his fourth coffee of the day and was completely exhausted. He made it to his car and finally noticed the rain coming down in buckets. “Great.” He muttered annoyed to himself as he sprinted to his car and hopped in, turning on the windshield wipers.
On his way home, he was going through the motions of driving home when his car hit a particularly deep puddle. He only stopped once he heard a familiar yell. He slowed his car to a stop before stepping out. “Shit I’m so sorry.” He said as he popped open hos trunk and got out some towels he kept in there just in case. “I didn’t see you there.”
I wanted to say something: “I’m sorry,” or perhaps “fuck you.” I wanted to say, “I let you in and you abused that position of trust.” But no no no. I wanted to say, “kiss me please please, we can forget everything.” Or maybe, maybe I just wanted to say, “I forgive you. You’re not sorry but I still forgive you.

opheliaxdaye:
“Why do you say that?”
“Why do you ask so many questions?”
opheliaxdaye:
“Feelings are never stupid.”
“These ones are.”

She took the keys back a little too roughly, as though her accusation had been true. She was always a little too rough, a little too aggressive.
“Guess I have to let you in now, don’t I, since you didn’t sell them on Ebay or anything, huh?”
He nods. “I held back but it was so tempting to sell your keys to any guy who offered me enough.” Sam joked as he leaned against the wall next to her door.
morgpetit:
“Well fingers crossed right?” Morgan countered with a small smile, “You seem like a decent enough guy, a terrible tour guide though.” She teased.
“Terrible tour guide? Well that’s just offensive.” He fake gasped. “What can I do to prevent the awful yelp review?”
morgpetit:
She rolled her eyes a bit simply teasing, “I’m happy that you know what a tour guide is.” She nodded her head, “I’ve been there before, well until he broke my heart,” She chuckled awkwardly, “But I’m glad it’s over now.”
“I’ve actually never been there before.” Sam chuckled. “This is all new to me.”
