Luna was trying, in more was than one. She wanted to belong in her new community, and her new job position. She wanted friends. She craved people she could relate to and feel comfortable around. She had learned in her time, among humans and supernatural beings sometimes the best way to connect was through food. Luna had made freshly baked sugar cookies, displayed as different flowers and butterflies. Perhaps she had made too many.
The excess she had bagged up in small bags stepping out of the shop with. Luna did have a tendency to get carried away. “Excuse me,” the woman said before stepping up with a smile. It was sheepish and ever so slightly nervous as she ducked her head. “Um, I don’t mean to be intrusive but…would you like a sample? Free of charge?”
Ophelia smiled brightly as the other woman approached her. A new friend! “Hello! Well met!” She couldn’t help the way her eyes lit up when she spotted the brightly colored cookies. “Oh those are lovely!”
