There had been rumors in the underground that there were Sirens in California. Ixto could hardly believe what heâd heard. Rumors were rumors, but still⊠the nature of his curiosity would not let him pass up the chance. Heâd learned some time ago that this world did have Sirens in itâ but they werenât the same breed as him. They were a lesser species with their own alpha, and their own way of living. It had been a major disappointment seeing as the last time Ixto had come across one of these lesser Sirens, the creature had tried to murder him.
With this knowledge in mind, heâd set out for California with determination, taking all of the information heâd found with a grain of salt. The last thing he wanted was to be attacked again. More, Ixto didnât want anybody else to be caught in the crossfire. Either way, the word of a Siren would bring hunters as well. He would need to gather information on whether this creature was friend or foe so he knew whether to defend them or leave them to their fate.Â
Presently, Ixto sat in the bar right next to a rather large fellow. After a drink or two himself, the whole situation became abundantly clear. Ixto himself was not bothered by the venom of a lesser Siren, but he could taste the vile stuff in his drink. Heâd no doubt that the man next to him who continuously asked questions had been dosed too. He could hear it in the manâs energy. The sluggish downturn of his energies. From all the questions he was asking, Ixto could tell that this man was a hunter. It radiated off of him.
Everything happened so quickly that he had a hard time processing all of it. The dingy air of the bar became thick with tension. This creature had administered her venom to every human in this place. His golden gaze flickered from one face to the next, certain that they were under her command. Fury rose up in his chest, but he followed the crowd for the moment, pretending that he too was under her control.
He would bide his time. This hunter could be dangerous in his inebriated state. He wouldnât mind if this guy was a little bit helpless so that Ixto wouldnât be caught in his cross fire.Â
When she crossed the room, and others started to stand from their seats, Ixto followed suit. Two of the men near the door blocked the exit, and the lesser Siren stood before Sam, all in all about 5âČ7 in her heels.Â
âWell now, arenât you just a lovely catch,â she drawled, grabbing hold of Samâs chin. âSuch a gorgeous specimen.â
Sam stared at the female holding his chin. She looked like any normal person when he first saw her. She was just 5âČ7 blonde, wearing a cheap red dress and black high-heels. Somehow now he could feel he was wrong and as the men stood beside her surrounding her like obedient dogs surrounding thier owner he regretted not catching up sooner.
He golden eyes shone reminding him of the Yellow eyes demon sending a shiver though his body. His heart rate going crazy and his body freezing from fear as Yellow eyes passed through his mind painting his face with a pale color. âWhat are you? What do you want?â He asked the creature still holding his chin, when he finally summoned enough of his bravery to talk, as his feet started going numb with âWhat will happen to me?â that question stuck on his mind for a while now.
The female straightened up and smiled a predatory smile making him feel more powerless. About now is when his brother or the angel show up and save the day, but they are gone with no trace to follow and no signs of them still alive. He had to do it alone now figure out a way to escape this bar on his own and to kill the creature whatever it was.
The first step was figuring out what the hell was this creature who took over the town by a simple drinks. He rolled out witch and his only option after a few seconds of thinking was a pagan âSo which Goddess are you?â he finally announced to the creature who laughed at him like she heard the best joke ever making Sam more confused.
