@san-mamemeo
are there commonĀ motifs in your dreams?Ā
in mine for example itās common to have wings, to drown in cold oil, breath water, or have to escape
Hey, thereās some fresh bullshit in the works
me having to leave left over food at a restaurant:
Everytime I stress over embarrassing situations that happened 10 years ago I have to remind myself that AT LEAST a live tv show hasn't accidentally been filmed in my room, which is filled with an embarrassing amount of photos of my crush, while millions of people including said crush watched
Me:makes a reference only i get and then laughs about it because i saw what i did there
That feeling when your body is requesting something but you're not sure what so you just start eating and drinking random stuff to try and figure it out
Me, eating a chocolate waffle at 7pm: Is this what you desire, oh prison of flesh?
i dont even know how to flirt? i just talk and hope they think im cute too
reblog and put in the tags the number of crushes youāve had in your life so far
in addition to the fact that people just have different natural rhythms, a big reason why we canāt seem to go to bed as early as weĀ āshouldā is that nighttime is, for many of us, our safest and most fulfilling time of day. we donāt have to work, we wonāt be contacted by bosses or insurance companies or collection agencies or other suffocating life business⦠weāre likely only to be contacted by our friends, or by no one at all. night time is release; itās ours. we can rest or recreate. we can do things we actually want to do. who would choose to cut that short?? just to usher in the next morning when our lives are not our own again? nighttime is precious and nothing could be more normal than the desire to embrace this
me: blushes irl while flirting with a character in a game
true love is having a crush on him even after he got a haircut
i hate the whole like pressure to experience relationships on a timeline, like youāre āsupposedā to have crushes at a young age, āsupposedā to start dating in high school, āsupposedā to lost your virginity as a teen, āsupposedā to be dating and sleeping around through high school and college, āsupposedā to settle down in your mid to late twenties, and āsupposedā to have your own family soon after you marry and then ur supposed to enforce that timeline on ur kids like how many times do family members ask u when ur gonna get a partner and get married... itās like the natural enemy of having real, vulnerable, deep relationships with other ppl because you keep feeling like you have to settle for somebody in order to fit within that timeline, or else u feel broken and out of place for not fitting into it... i really believe this is why i hear about so many people being stuck in unhappy marriages like how do u cultivate something fulfilling when ur fighting against a deadline
This is such an important thing to be aware of. Even if thereās not that immediate familial pressure (which, letās be honest, there usually is), thereās this constant background hum of societal pressure that can be so draining and just wear away at you.
And it has all sorts of other impacts, like OP pointed out, what with people forcing themselves into underdeveloped and ultimately damaging relationships just becauseĀ āyou have toā.
Uninformed media (like movies and TV that push theĀ āeveryone f*cks in high schoolā narrative and other stuff like that, which is a whole other rant that I can get into) and being surrounded by certain demographics (coughcoughconservativeevangelicalchristianscoughcough) can really amp up the effect it has on you as well.
When EMTs and film/tv production crew comment on twitter threads about Amazon warehouse working conditions likeĀ āI work 12 hour shifts too, suck it upā likeā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦guys. You shouldnāt be working 12 hour shifts either. As few people as possible should be working 12 hour shifts
THIS. Medical professions ESPECIALLY.
Ok but I really, really donāt want to be treated by a medical professional whoās on the later end of a 12 hour shift?! Like that isnāt even just about workerās rights, an exhausted EMT or nurse or surgeon is a lot more likely to mess up and get their patients killed, who the fuck thought shifts like that were a good idea
I had a dream that someone hacked into and stole this blog just so they could use my club penguin account
