Like everyone else, I’ve always wanted to be successful in my life. Now I am successful in what I do. While I keep working to achieve success, I am happy to look back and see the progress I have made. My passion for nail art is now seeing me working on a different types of nail art designs.
When I was in college I used to draw cartoons in my notebooks. I continued this activity when I completed my Bachelor in management studies degree and joined corporate office. My office diaries started to filled up with cartoon characters. Actually I was looking for a creative outlet. So I started getting into painting my nails. For one thing, its definitely forced me to go out of my comfort zone a bit.
A lot of times I used to do nails inspired by themes. Also in office I often got inspiration randomly from something I see, and either write it down in a note in my phone or draw out the design in my diary.
I worked hard, I experimented. Something went well, some fell apart. I continued my job while doing MBA. So it was difficult for me to manage my job, my studies, my classes and everything. I was not even condition to leave my job. I am staying with my uncle an aunt since my early childhood. They treated me like their own child. They are proud of me for what I am doing right now. My mom dad also would have been proud if they had been alive. I never wanted to put any financial burden on my uncle and aunt, so I continued with my job. And job was the best source of income to buy best quality of nail polishes and other nail art related instruments.
Whenever I got frustrated or helpless I went through Steve Job’s quote. He has said beautifully.. “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
I started nail art on weekends. Saturday and Sundays were enough for me to do these different. After few days, I created my Facebook page “The Spark”. I got a chance to put up a nail art stall in one of our official annual party. I became popular for my nail art activities in office. My this work allowed me to meet incredible women at all levels of their career.
I came in contact with so many nail artist on Facebook. I owe a lot to Scra2ch team. They believed in our art. Also appreciated us for our each and every design. Sometimes you need to motivated and driven to be the best you can be regardless of your work.
Now, running my own salon is like freedom of working. This is challenging task that fulfilling client’s desire and I am loving to do it.
I’ve also worn bolder and darker colors on my nails, which is something I never would have done before. I’ve become less timid and more open about sharing what I love.
I would like to thank my parents for allowing me to realise my own potential. My friends, family, my colleagues for their love & encouragement without whom I would have never enjoyed so many opportunities.
Now, nail art has become such an important part of my life and I’m so happy that doing something I love has gotten me where I am today..!!!
Thank you..! 🙂
