Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland

The inspiration behind the whimsical shoot was “Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland”. Creative Directors, Gary Javier and Sancho Smalls wanted to creative an abstraction that would nod to the original novels by Lewis Carroll and certainly the Tim Burton film adaptations.
“Focusing on the themes and archetypal scenes such as the tea party and Alice’s meeting of the iconic characters, our fashion narrative was realized. We chose our intentionally melaninated cast because their personalities and looks embodied qualities from each character which we mixed their own personal styles.”

Most of the pieces were designed specifically for each fanciful character/model , keeping the focus in fashion and while only skimming into costume. The process took 3 months to prepare - picking the models, designing the pieces, coming up with set ideas, shooting and editing. The outcome was well worth it. We would like to thank everyone involved in this project.
