anyway. romeo and juliet versainz au. there are so many parallels between those irl that you simply cannot ignore.

romeo being depressed at the start because of unrequited love? carlos also (almost) didn't make it to f1 because redbull decided to promote a minor before him.

juliet being canonically 13 years old? max was also a minor when he started.

their families having generational beef with each other? jos and carlos sr got so much of that that the only "solution" they can think of is to split the pairing apart (sending max to redbull is equivalent to marrying juliet off to the verona family or whatever. also loaning carlos to renault is practically exile)

and yet they love each other anyway <3 these two are literally like the textbook definition of doomed yaoi i tell you.
