Alright, so I think I may have found a way to get use out of Tumblr Mobile App Version, and that is the fact that you can ‘download’ mp3 files posted to tumblr.
While I haven’t tested this on Apple software, it should work for most Android Phones, Specifically LG Optimus’s. All you need to do is download an app called ES File Manager, which is a completely free application available on the Google Play Store. Find your file on Tumblr, and click on it. As long as you don’t have any presets on the phone to open the audio in a specific app, you should be able to choose to open the file with the ‘ES Download Manager’. Once you’ve done that, simply wait for the file to download, go into the ES File Manager app, look for the downloads folder, and look for your file. While it isn’t strictly in Mp3 format, you can still open and play it, and probably even connect your device to a computer and change the file properties to suit your Mp3 exclusive needs. ES can also play these files, and finally you can even put all of these files into a new folder and create a home screen shortcut so you can listen to your files whenever you’d like! So while the Tumblr Mobile App may not load photos, it can certainly help with tumblr-exclusive audio.
So, in simple terms:
Download ES File Manager
Find your Audio
Click it
Open with ES
Open ES app and find file
Either make it an mp3 via computer or create a folder, put it in, and shortcut it
