One of the new series of blind-packed Transformers Botbots is literally just named “Steve From Accounting” and he transforms into a stapler by covering his face with his hands and crumpling into a fetal position, and I have never identified more strongly with a Transformer 😅

This is the perfect pet for people who want to keep a small container of water with something pretty in it. Even though it’s a plant and not a fish, it’s way cuter than a sad, cramped betta- and less maintenance, too. A marimo is perfect for that pretty aesthetic or your college dorm room. Want a mason jar aquarium? A marimo will be perfectly happy in there. Want a fishbowl with pretty rocks? Get a marimo, or even a few of them! I can’t overstate how wonderful and cute marimo are.

Mando’a Terms of Endearment

I figured it might be nice to have them all in the same place for future reference by anyone who finds a need for something in Mando’a to say to their significant other. If you know of any others or have con-langed any others (such as the second one in the list) feel free to add it! 

Cyar'ika- the most common term. The Basic translation would be beloved or darling. Cye’ruus- @tapcaftogo and I came up with this one but everyone is free to use it of course! In the non-literal sense it means, well, cinnamon roll. (And a pun on Sheres’s name because, well, puns are great) Ka’rta- Heart, soul. As in ‘gar ner ka’rta’ or ‘you are my heart’. Mesh- Originally ‘mesh’la’ the ‘la’ was removed to turn it into a noun. Meaning: beautiful. As in ‘hey, beautiful’.  Runi- related to ka’rta. It is rarely used and generally only in works of poetry rather than conversation. It also means ‘soul’ but with more impact than ‘ka’rta’.  Verd’ika- Often used affectionately, rarely if ever meant to offend given it means ‘little soldier/warrior’. As with anything, though, it depends on intent and the person receiving the term.
