⟡ Armand: the Director, a vampire, a few people in one. *Mostly season 3 divergent. ⟡ Amadeo: the muse, the model, the hands. ⟡ Arun: the boy, a fragment, a foundational fear . ⟡ Alice Molloy: the ex wife of two-time Pulitzer prize winning journalist Daniel Molloy, and, in her own right, a professor of physics. ⟡ Aurélien: book-adjacent Armand, set in an AU where both exist. ⟡ Everett: Regency historian and vampire, turned in the 1920s... even if he says he's a century older. ⟡ Denis: a show-based take on Armand's blood doll from the Interview With the Vampire novel.

The Great Laws

⟡ Thou shalt be 18+. The show is mature in content, and so is the blog! While I don't intend to write anything explicit, it will come up just by virtue of Armand's backstory. If you don't have an age listed, I won't follow back.

⟡ This blog is semi-selective. I'm not mutuals only, and I am, generally speaking, fairly likely to follow back. Though I'm also a university student, and run a Hazbin multimuse @oilpaintedstxrs, so sometimes I may be less active.

⟡ Asks! The askbox is always open, either for memes--none of which have an expiry date--or unprompted ones. Both can be turned into threads, though they don't have to be.

⟡ Multiverse & Multiship. Canonically, Armand has feelings for a variety of the characters, and that's true here. There might be infidelity as part of a plot, or poly ships in theme with the books, though none of that will ever be in the same continuity.

⟡ Crossover, OC, and duplicate friendly. It helps if I know the fandom, though that is not a necessity. Unless we talk first, I won't do pre-established relationships with OCs, though I love them dearly. As for duplicates, I love getting to see everyone else's take on the characters!

⟡ This blog is semi-season 3 compliant. While I'm not wholly abandoning season 3 for my portrayal, I do lean much heavier on the book than the show, i.e my standard headcanon is that Daniel and Armand had a prior relationship that ended several decades prior.

What kind of warmth are you?

comfort jacket

you're gentle, thoughtful in your kindness, and very careful when you're helping others. your warmth is obvious only to some──  but to them, it is life-saving. you don't think of your warmth as much. really, it feels like the least you can do. but you are providing something that no one else can. there are people out there that will not be helped by reckless optimism. but you see love as a risk, and when you take it, you will heal others (and yourself) in ways you didn't see as possible. you do not believe that people are good. really, you don't believe that you are good. they can be. you have been. no one is better than you at offering warmth to people who are difficult to love. i am asking you to offer that same warmth to yourself. even when you think you don't deserve it. especially when you think you don't deserve it.

Lestat reminds Everett, mostly, of his maker, if William were a century younger and a fraction more inclined towards impulsivity—which is saying something, given how they met. William had taken to the modern era as he had every one before, with aplomb, and a tendency to be entertained. He’s not even surprised that William introduced him to the music, while Everett did the same for the book.

“I am not wholly convinced you won’t get both,” Everett replies. “Or that one won’t into the other. Still, I guess I’ll be cheering you on for glory,”

So I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it here, but my absolute favourite animals are seals, and that’s been the case since I was about 4. They’re the one stuffed animal I collect, so… SEAL!!! It’s the first time I’ve ever seen them in person, I love them. This is the best picture I have of it, because mostly they just looked like black dots in the water, but still!!! I have never been more thrilled. A bit of rain is well worth it.

11. A drunk/drugged kiss

There’s a certain frustration in not being able to drink from the bottle anymore, an inconvenience he rails against. But, at the very least, there are no canals to fall into in Montreal, as there were in Venice. Even then, a chemical affliction is hardly an insurmountable obstacle.

All of which is to say, he’s accomplished it, the drink coursing through him, and muffling the constant influx of thoughts—his own, and that of everyone else. Not a single person with an original thought—everything about sex or money, or both at once, with enough of them directed at him to have achieved a pleasing buzzing… insobriety.

While getting drunk might be harder, the makeup lasts far better, so he looks almost as put together as he started the night, even if his hair is more mussed. He staggers, collapsing into Lestat’s lap. Amadeo doesn’t even know why he’s here—at the bar that is, he sort of understands Montreal as a city.

One arm rests behind Lestat’s shoulders, and he sits up enough to press a kiss to his lips, before bursting into a sad sort of laughter. “Sometimes I wish you’d met me like this,” he says, and presses another, almost softer, kiss to his cheek, before trying, more unsuccessfully, to extract himself from Lestat’s lap.

13 hours later I have made it safely to my destination! Verdict: trains are in fact, one of the ideal modes of transit, and the fact that Canada doesn’t have more of them is a fundamental flaw.
