Cow-Herd Cover Quilt - 46 individual pillow shapes made of unfired clay and painted Holstein black and white with acrylics. The clay was intended to be vulnerable to the weather, gradually changing its shape and size. Over the summer the grass grew rapidly, which affected the shapes and indicated movement as would be natural to a herd of live animals. Finally, it disintegrated into the ground completely and the flattened skins of acrylic paint were removed, leaving impressions in the ground similar to the imprint of repeated trampling.
