A little placeholder until I get a proper promo set up for Paolo

Daisy couldn't cook at all, so she often left that to Pablo. She had nearly burned the kitchen a few times in her attempt to make a romantic dinner for him. Or the time she had made a burnt brick of a cake.
"Two dozen sounds like a perfect number." She agreed, seeing him express his emotions, even in a small way, made her happy. She took it as a sign he felt comfortable here enough.
"That's what I'm hoping for. I had a few medicinals in the greenhouse back when I was with.. well, you know." Even now, she had a hard time saying Crims name, as if saying it aloud would summon him. She gave herself a mental shake and smiled at him. "I'd hand them out to his gang whenever they got sick. He never knew." She giggled.
Paolo had eaten her burnt cake and romantic dinner, or at least a few bites, making sure her efforts didn't go to waste. Even after attempting to help her learn to cook, they both came to the silent understanding that he should be the one focusing on it. She still could help if she asked, though; he loved doing anything with her, even if the risk of fire damage increased.
Talking about the past did make the stoic face harden, as if by habit, and from the fact he'd destroy whatever would come to dare take them back to it, and Crim was someone he'd end on sight if he even caught a glimpse of them.
"He didn't know anything besides money and his orders. If it weren't for me, he'd have been lost years before... Now I hope he's tripped into some cement shoes and is taking a high-liquid nap somewhere." He'd slow down so he could better give Daisy a hug, something he had gotten used to doing whenever he wanted to focus on the present, and not think of the monster that had made their lives filled with hardship. "I can build out the greenhouse so we can have more plants, if you want."
She was completely relaxed walking hand in hand with Paolo, their little town was close knit and protected each other, making it easy to fit in. She waved to a few vendors as they passed the stalls.
"I heard one of the farmers has a special on eggs. Could get a dozen." She smiled up at him. "Alao wanted to check out the seeds. Heard there's new medicinal ones from Gluttony."
Paolo's eyes lit up at the notion that there were eggs available; he had gotten a hankering for sunny-side up ones, and slowly found out more ways to use them in cooking, as lately he'd gotten into using it in ramen.
"Oh, that would be wonderful, maybe two dozen?" He asked, his voice, which usually carried no emotion, now had a faint tone of hope. His hand gently squeezed hers as they went. He knew some of the farmers around the community, but he was a hard nut to crack when it came to showing any form of kindness. His way was usually keeping people safe as his way of showing that he cared for them. Though he was reminded that not everyone appreciated being offered protection or being told, 'If you have any problems, you come to me, and I will take care of it,' a sentence that nearly had a vendor tearing up.
"With more seeds, we could start a proper greenhouse... Medicinal ones would be great, imagine expanding the flower shop to include health plants!"
@ladiesofhell asked:
"Gettin' out of the shop for the day was a good idea." Daisy commented as they explored the farmers market in town. "Ya see anything you want?"
It was nice to spend the day with Daisy. Having the shop closed once in a while so they could spend time together was wonderful, like a treat, especially when going together to the farmer's market, a place he knew no one from the business would bother to go to, so they were safe.
"Plenty of produce could make for some great pies, maybe salads." He looked over at her, taking in her beauty before asking. "What do you want to eat today?"
The little impling moves around in there, mostly content to hide out in Paolo's pocket for the evening. Now and then little bleats will escape but they're so tiny that mostly only Paolo would be able to hear them. But around noon, Moxxie pokes his head out and starts 'beep beep'ing for for a snack. By now he knows that Paolo knows his favorite treats.
Paolo knew well enough Moxxie's noises, the sounds he'd make for attention, food, and sleep. This was for snacks, always coming around the same time every day, he kept being amazed at how punctual Moxxie were in this regard.
He'd sneak into the kitchen and acquire some of the freshly baked cookies, cool enough that he'd have no fear in feeding it to little Moxxie. "Here you go, mama should be nearby, she's always ready with some of her cookies." He gave a little smile down at Moxxie, a rare thing, though always happening when he was thinking of Moxxie's mother.
The little Moxxie just hanging out in his jacket. Every now and then tiny bleats happening.
@sanitationshark
Paolo held on gently to the little bulge pressing against his suit jacket, making sure that Moxxie got to feel safe and secure. "There we go, let's find your mama, meanwhile you stay in there and keep yourself safe."
He'd walk with him inside his jacket for a while, letting them fall asleep if they wanted to. This was a great excuse for him to see her without anyone asking questions, only needing to hear the soft little bleat and understand he was carrying Crim's kid.
"I know you did your best." She said softly. It was such a precarious position he had been in, made to follow Crim's orders but keep Moxxie safe too. She'd been so happy to hear Moxxie had escaped Crim's clutches. She had had so many late nights, wondering if she'd wake to the news her son was dead, or the nightmares she endured alone.
"Do.. You think he would want to see me?" She was scared. What if Moxxie hated her for staying away for so long? Would he even understand? She knew he was now working as an assassin for an imp in the Pride Ring but Crim still had his eye on him as well.
She smiled at his affection, giggling softly at the small kisses to her cheek. "Mm.. Well we have an hour before we have to open up.." She mused. "I definitely need some of that lovin' from ya." She purred as she turned her head to kiss him.
Paolo would ponder the question for a moment, imagining Moxxie would be surprised, excited, angry, and overwhelmed. So many emotions he knew that Crim would have loved to have beaten out of his son, but Paolo made sure to keep them as safe as he could.
"I think… He would need a moment to realize it and come to terms with it, but ultimately he'd be happy… In the end, he knows his father, what had to be done was important to survive, and we never really abandoned him." His hands went back to her, holding her hands before kissing her back.
"How about we see how well you can take care of the plants in the front with me all over you? Still dark so no one would be able to look inside, and I'd love to see if you're able to remember which plants to water while I'm making little marks over your neck and massaging places."
She would never get tired of his affections, never ever. His touch, the kisses, they all made her feel so loved and protected by him. She hadn't realized just how touch starved she'd been before he had properly moved in. Now safe from Crim's watchful eyes.
"You helped in that." She said softly. "You helped Moxxie when I couldn't, you protected him from Crim." She would forever carry the guilt in that she had to leave her sweet little boy behind. It had torn at her heart for so long, leaving the two people she loved behind while she escaped.
She smiled as his hold on her loosened a little that she could finish fertilizing the plants, feeding them a frozen rat each, watching them gobble up the rodents happily. She grabbed a nearby rag and wiped her hands. "Now that I'm done, you have my full attention." She grinned at Paolo as her tail ran along his leg playfully.
The time after her departure from the home had been a heavy few months, not only for Moxxie who would believe his mother dead, but for Paolo, having to keep the lie alive that she had been dead and not whisked away by his doing. Back then he had worried about Crim, wanting to be loyal to the man who he had then seen as the man who saved him from a life that would have ended too soon. Now, he only wished he had fought against Crim, taken him out before he got the chance to remove Daisy from them. But that was the past, and he had to focus on the present and future.
"I did all I could… what I felt I could get away with and keep him from turning into a smaller version of Crim…" He felt himself grow weak for a moment, disappointed in himself, the memories flying across his mind's eye, all the times he imagined he could have done more… Should have…
"… Maybe we could go visit sometime? When we know Crim has less power? Or maybe invite Moxxie and Millie here?" His usual expression melted away whenever he talked about the pair, wanting desperately for her to meet her son and wife, and for Moxxie and Millie to meet her. He felt a bit weird still imagining telling Moxxie he'd gotten together with his mom, but all things considered, he'd also imagine that Moxxie wouldn't mind, remembering the few times he had been called dad by them growing up.
He'd snap out of the imagination in his mind by her touch on his leg, he'd focus back on her and lean in to nose against her face, peppering tiny kisses before wrapping her up in another hug. "If we're opening the store today, I might need to help you in the front before we open, maybe help you take a break before then too, give you some tender love and care?"
She remembered the townsfolk apprehension of Paolo too but she knew the real him. The side he rarely let others see. She could read his body language as easily as a book. When he was nervous or uncomfortable about something, in the way he moved or his tail would swing. She'd picked up on all his little habits over the years.
She leaned in his arms, allowing herself to relax as she felt him nuzzle her neck. He cared for her, far more than what Crim ever did. "I'm glad Mox never got sick down there." She sighed. His birth had been brutal, already weak from whatever illness the pollution in Greed had given her, she was glad Paolo had been by her side through it.
She gave a small smile. "Guess I was never built for Greed." She chuckled as she cuddled in his arms.
Hands gently roamed her form, a gentle form of caressing, a loving, slow, and steady reassurance for both their benefits. So many times in the past he had wanted to wrap his arms around her, and so many times more he'd be reminding himself how wrong it was, and now he could indulge in it as much as she could handle before getting sick and tired of it.
His voice was gentle as he'd press his lips against her neck, speaking low as he was so close to her now that he couldn't help but keep it intimate. "Moxxie had always been unique thanks to you, and now because of you, he's safe and sound with a woman that loves him as much as he loves her."
A kiss on her neck, then another, all the way up to her cheek. "We were never meant to be in Greed, but we were, and there we found each other. The greatest reward for toughing it out for as long as we did, each other." He'd give her a soft squeeze in his arms before relaxing, not wanting to squeeze her to death, nor keep her from the duties of taking care of the plants, knowing well enough a few of them appeared grumpy, or perhaps jealous that he was getting all of her attention at the moment.
She was happy he'd taken a liking in her flowers, as well as the medicinal herbs she grew for the locals. Medicine was expensive when living in a small town like this one on the edge of nowhere so she had taken it upon herself to provide medicinal herbs that were cheap.
She tilted her head back to look up at him with a wide smile. "These guys are from the Sloth Ring but they can thrive in just about any environment. I sometimes get orders from a Goetia Prince named Stolas for more of them." She said.
She chuckled as one leaned in to sniff him curiously. "They're not dangerous to us, not at this size. They prefer rats or whole chickens than a shark and an imp." She said, gently scratching under the chin of the one that was sniffing him, making it purr. She turned her head and coughed into the crook of her elbow. Damn her chronic illness. "The clean air here was another reason why I chose this town." She said after catching her breath. Being in Greed had left a permanent mark on her physical health.
The little town had greeted him friendly enough, even though few did look upon him with some apprehension, and though it was warranted with how he appeared to scowl all the time and have something going on, it wasn't until the news came around that he was Daisy's special someone that the townsfolk began to properly welcome him. The public displays of affection, and those who swore they saw him smile when she kissed him was enough to get people to warm up to the shark.
Paolo would lean in to the sniffing plant, letting it get his scent before trying to reach up and join with her in scritching them.
"Doesn't mean they won't be able to take a finger or a nose, but that'd be silly to, bite the hand that feeds and takes care of them." He'd get a tinge of a memory in his mind, a reminder of a far-off past that had caused him to become loyal to Crim in the past. It was a terrible one for him now, ever since he realized how it had been used and abused by the imp mobster.
The moment she coughed, she'd get his attention. Leaning down to wrap his arms around her, he'd nuzzle into her neck, snoot pressing against her throat as if he was trying to heal her simply by hugging her. "I'm glad it's better here for you… Remembering how often you coughed back in Greed does not bring any fond memories back."

She chuckled as she heard the purr in his voice, always so protective of hers. "If you do that, they might be too scared to deliver." She teased as she turned her head to kiss his cheek. She shifted the weight of the bag in her arms before turning to walk over to the table that held held the carnivorous plants she'd been tending to.
She idly swatted one that tried to nip her. "Been meanin' to ask but how are ya likin' it here?" She asked. She'd worried the little floral store would be boring to the former mobster. It was certainly not as exciting as the work Crim had him do.
Daisy was the only one to make him smile, even for a moment, his natural demeanor and behavior of a resting, annoyed, and dangerous face would break like a crack appearing in a dam, one that would startle people enough to miss it and believe they had imagined it as the next moment he'd be back to his regular expression.
"Hmfh… A note to be seen when they next deliver then." He'd follow her over to the table, he had taken quite an interest in her plants ever since things had changed and he had gotten out of Crim's employ. Now free from the past, he got to spend it with her and make a future they both could love in.
"Neighborhood is nice, I know now why you chose this place, not the kind of people who'd let anyone bully them around." He'd stand behind her as he continued speaking, looking at the plant that had tried to nip her. "The plants are interesting, makes me want to keep a close eye on them and what they do."
Daisy huffed, trying to reach for an item on the top of a shelf in the store. "Paolo, honey can ya be a dear and get that fertilizer for me?" She asked over her shoulder. "Seems the delivery guys forgot I'm a tiny imp."
Walking up behind her, he easily grabbed the bag of fertilizer for Daisy before leaning down and holding it in front of her. He placed his head next to hers, letting out a warm breath of air against her cheek.
"I can warn them about it next time if you'd like, my sugarplum."
Thoughts of anything else was driven from her mind as she felt him thrust inside her, earning a whimper from herself. Her claws dug into his shoulders as she started to move her hips with him, sliding up and down with ease. She was so sensitive too, each movement earning a gasp from her.
"W-We'd certainly have the time, I'd close the shop for a week or-Ah!-more if needed.." She had plenty saved, a week or two to relax and spend with him wouldn't put a dent in anything. "Although I might be selfish in never letting you leave my arms." She teased as she kissed his neck, letting this build up.
"I can just picture it, you inside me night and day, or me waking you up in the morning by riding you until you cum~" She gave a soft growl as her inner walls squeeze. "Letting you fill me to the brim until I can't hold anymore~ There's certainly a build up there~"
His body tensed up, already so sensitive, and thrusting into her while he was on his knees now in the shower, her squeeze had him gasp, his breathing filled with hot groans as he attempted to gather himself. Arm reached up behind her back to steady her as he ran the other hand down to squeeze her hip, holding onto it as he began to use his legs, making the thrusts move with his bounces.
"Mmffffuck- How he never saw how fucking beautiful you were or amazing you sound when you moan, suspect he never liked girls if he managed to treat you so poorly." He huffed before nuzzling into her neck, nipping and giving little love bites. "Once I'm here with you, I'm goin' to make you regret having legs with how useless they're going to be when I get my fill of you." His movements quickened as he got closer to a second climax, already so sensitive, and talking dirty with her was only making it come closer.
"I'm going to fuck you until you forget everything else but my name and how good it feels to be mine finally!"
That deep fear of the man she had once been married to was something she was all too familiar with. It's what had stopped her from stabbing Crim in his sleep, or poisoning his breakfast. She knew enough about plants, she could have easily done it and gotten away with it. Sweet little Daisy, no one would have suspected her.
But they might have with Paolo, especially if their relationship came to light after the fact.
Her tail wrapped around them both as she was lifted, feeling herself sink a little further onto him, her insides squeezing in response. She looked up at him. "Just please be careful. I can't stand the thought of something happening to you." The very thought was terrifying. She couldn't stand a world without him in it.
She giggled and kissed his collar bone. "So little time and so many surfaces to get dirty."
He knew far too well how dangerous it would have been for him to have taken out Crim before, knowing he'd be thought as the killer for his position in the organization, he would have needed to make a near-open declaration, to make preparations, to get allies to his side before he'd kill him… It would take too long, even now he'd be sure most of the capo that he worked with would have his head on a pike for speaking out against Crim.
But that had to wait, for now, he got to spend time with the woman he loved, and he needed to focus on the things in life that mattered to him, and that was Daisy, and no one else.
"I don't intend on dying or getting hurt." He huffed out as he felt her so securely on him, and so deep, that it made him struggle to walk, every step another small movement like a thrust in and out of her. It wasn't until he'd gotten her into the bathroom shower that he'd start kneeling, and inadvertantly begin to thrust again, giving a little more sensation, making the shark whimper in delight.
"A-ahh… Think the first week alone together, safe from Crim, would end up with us fucking and staining everything in our home." He'd give a little smile. "I'd not mind it, but I fear it'd never end, cause we'd need it to make up for lost time."
The afterglow felt good, even while they were talking. She could feel him nestled inside her as she nuzzled the crook of his neck, just an affectionate gesture. She knew he spoke reason and with how quick he was at planning it wouldn't take long for him to set things up.
She smiled and gave him a kiss. "I've waited this long for you my love. A little while longer won't hurt." She said, her hand stroking his face. She hoped his escape wouldn't be nearly as painful as her own had been. Her broken horns still ached at the very memory of it.
"I hate that he's kept us apart this long but I know this is the right thing to do." She sighed and chuckled. "I need to learn to have some patience, don't I?" She smiled.
Holding her close, nosing and kissing what he could get his lips against, he didn't want to end it, even as they'd have a bit over a day together, he still felt even a lifetime and then some would not be enough time to heal each other of the pain that Crim had caused the pair of them. "You've waited long enough, I won't drag my feet when it comes to this, and if worst comes to worst, I will make sure to take care of thinsg... How I should have done all those years ago but was to afraid to do." He had been scared of Crim, back when he didn't know how much power they had only by word and respect. Now though, they controlled mostly by cash and fear, and he wasn't afraid anymore to destroy Crim if he had to. "Patience and understanding, two things you've had more than most and more than anyone deserve to be given by you." Gently lifting her up, he'd still be inside her as he'd carry her to the bathroom. "Probably best to get clean before the get dirty again, we have a whole day ahead of us before I have to leave."
Hearing his name said in such a way sent her over her own edge, gasping as her climax hit full force. Her body tensed under him, twitching before slowly relaxing. She could feel his load in her, leaving her warm. She so wanted to have his child, but she had been told after Moxxie she'd have no more.
Her breathing slowly returned to normal as she gazed up at him, tears of happiness in her eyes. "I love you so much. I can't stand being apart from you for these long periods." She said as she curled up close to him.
"I know it's risky but we can do it, this is a good town. He wouldn't think of coming here to look." She was rambling but she didn't care. Moxxie was an adult too now. He didn't need the constant protection he did as a child. She was tempted to suggest they killed Crim but knew that would be too risky. It was better to use the plan they had for herself.
Arms coiling around and keeping her close, he'd stay inside of her as the afterglow washed over them. His breathing slowed down and he'd gather himself properly before planting a steadying kiss on her lips to let her focus and have a moment from speaking, then pressing his nose against her's he'd look a bit forlorn.
"I want to stay here too, I do, but you know if I just up and leave without any reason, he's going to come looking, maybe not here, but he will have people looking for me." His hands rubbed softly on her back as he continued.
"I will need to set a stage for it, make him believe me gone… Similar to what we did with you. That way we will have a clean break and I could snag some cash out of it, make the fresh start better and safer… What do you say?"
Paolo always made her feel so special, it was what attracted her to him in the first place, what had started their forbidden love. Crim had never satisfied her like this, he'd only slept with her to make their son and nothing else. He had even refused to be by her side when she'd given birth, her health had been so bad she'd nearly died in the process but Paolo had been there, making sure she survived. She loved the usually stoic shark so much.
Her grip tightened on him as his teeth marked her skin, her cries slowly becoming more desperate. She could feel herself slipping closer to her climax, his fast pace making her reach it quicker. The grinding earned a moan from the she-imp. She pictured him living with her, waking up like this with him fucking her, or stealing him away in the shop below, him hidden by the counter with his tongue inside her as she served customers. The thought would have her blushing if she wasn't preoccupied.
She looked up into his face, her hands reaching to cup his cheeks. "Don't.. Don't leave me.." She whispered, the plea clear in her voice. The thought of him leaving was enough to break her fragile heart, Crim be damned, she needed Paolo in her life. She crushed her lips against his as a whine escaped her, feeling that tightening knot in the pit of her stomach.
At first, it had been something of admiration of Daisy that had him attracted to her, though when she was with Crim, he had made sure not to get involved or try anything, it had happened so quickly that he didn't know what to do about it besides what he did. He saw her as brave and stoic, but once he saw how Crim truly treated her, he felt he had to step in, and at first, it may have been simply so she wouldn't feel alone in the whole den of mobsters, and Crim even appeared to appreciate it as he once said: "At least she's not bitching to me about it to try to make me feel bad."
The simple touch of her hand made him feel warm in his chest, sparks in his fingers. And each time he was there he felt as if things got more intense, and he felt an ache in his heart when she was with Crim, trying to have something, only to be shut down or pushed aside. Then one day it just happened, Crim had said something to send her to him, no one else around and it just felt right to comfort her. Then the hug turned into an embrace, and he recalled how it naturally fell into place.
Even now, pushing her down onto the couch, thrusting into her, feeling the hot and tight squeeze of her around his member, hearing her voice in his ear, sensations he'd wanted for so long and finally got. And then her plea to him, in the middle of it all, emotions welling up inside of him as he'd pushed into the kiss, feeling his whole body aflame as he held tightly onto her form and gave a heavy growl from deep within.
The desire, emotions, the plea from her to stay, it was his dream to be there with her and focus on their lives together. And then the image of her in a wedding dress, instead of the red she had, she'd be in a flowing white dress, and on her back under him. He couldn't hold it anymore.
Like his spot had been hit, the thrusts sped up before he hilted into her, every inch as he'd unleash his load inside of her, pumping into her as he couldn't hold the kiss any longer, sliding off to press his cheek against hers, growling dominantly into the air around them as his eyes were focused on her. "Fuck! I'm here Daisy! I'm here for you!"
