I always imagined that when Shanks and Buggy meet and are in a calm environment, alone in a cabin, instead of yelling and arguing, as soon as they touch each other, both of them will be overwhelmed by a wave of wild fatigue and they will just fall asleep and sleep for at least a day in an embrace, on the same bed or on the floor (I'm sure they still miss the warmth of each other's body and breathing). Because only then did they feel peace and they could finally get a good night's sleep, like in childhood. Also, if they know that someone from Roger's crew is nearby, like Rayleigh or Gaban, then they will definitely sleep calmly and soundly together. No stress. Even when they wake up, they most likely won't want to get up or leave the cabin at all. (I think they need about three days of spending time together to at least rest a little and pull themselves together).
