His mouth fell open, not in lieu of a reply but as he
continued to be swept up in the overriding, powerful current
of her company he was at a loss. ALMOST as though he were
in a daze he nodded along with her words. Barry couldn’t say that
that he minded it. He was glad to take her out for froyo. She was so
cool, her confidence magnetic. It was attractive. Kelly was attractive
❝ I-I’m not busy. Now would be a GREAT time, ❞ Barry agreed
eagerly. He stood at the ready, smiling. An arm was offered
in a chivalrous gesture. His grin faltered somewhat, halting
in motion as he took in a breath of air, lungs swelling.
❝ Is it a problem that I DON’T have a car? ❞ His lack of
transportation might present an obstacle.
there were no specific, set, rules when it came to this sort of thing,
but kelly had a few of her own. above all else she wanted to have fun
and if tonight - for a change of pace - that involved actually talking
to a person and enjoying their company...that could be okay. kelly
nodded as barry agreed, glancing down at his arm for a moment,
then back up at him. CHIVALRY. (for the first time in...how long had
it been?) her eyes simply rested on him, still smiling, before speaking
again. "and a gentleman too? -” she started as she took his arm, “what
are the odds?” she laughed lightly before a brow was raised in response
to his words, dismissing the concern with a shake of her head.
“i do. i’ll drive - all you have to do is tell me where we’re going.”
