Breaking into the museum had been a piece of cake with a little help. No alarms triggered and not a single cop on the way. Granted that meant the evening would be a dull one, he and Zoe needed some coin after his waking up. It had been too long since they had been to work and most of their old contacts of Central City had gone into hiding. Apparently, with the explosion last year, a number of changes had come. Thieving wasn't as easy as it had been now that some superhero was patrolling the streets.
Still, that hero couldn't be everywhere at once, nor were they all powerful. If no alarms were tripped, that just meant no hero came to ruin the heist. Zoe had given him the details of some criminals who had caused a ruckus and suspiciously disappeared. Each one had made a rather large amount of noise thinking their powers would be enough. Obviously, they had found out that wasn't the case. Some boys and girls just weren't cut out for the criminal world.
Luckily, they had found one contact still wishing to barter with them. A single painting would get them a second, more lucrative job. After all, if he could complete this robbery right under the nose of some super quick streak, then his name would spread to other underground outlets. Thankfully, the museum was covered in arrows pointing towards the internationally coveted art piece so it wasn't hard to find. Unfortunately, when lifting the item off the wall, a silent alarm was set off.
“Well, that was easy enough. Time to get outta here. Too clean and polished for us, right?” Mal asked to seemingly no one as he turned around to head back towards the entrance.
