SANSA STARK & BRAN STARK: the death of idealism (inspo)
“Life is not a song, sweetling,” he'd told her. “You may learn that one day to your sorrow.” In life, the monsters win, she told herself, and now it was the Hound's voice she heard, a cold rasp, metal on stone. ― AGOT - Sansa VI
And now he could not climb, nor walk nor run nor swordfight, and the dreams he'd dreamed of knighthood had soured in his head. ― ACOK - Bran I
#my winged wolves #who idealize the version of knighthood they know from songs and stories #who have their dreams of being a knight and a queen shattered by the lannister twins who appear to be the platonic ideals of those roles #but really they’re destroying them and in a way they’ve freed bran and Sansa from suffering the same fates (tags)

Arya never seemed to fit, no more than he had … yet she could always make Jon smile. He would give anything to be with her now, to muss up her hair once more and watch her make a face, to hear her finish a sentence with him. — Jon Snow III, A Game of Thrones.
Alayne Stone I, A Feast for Crows.
ARYA STARK and SANSA STARK wanting to call themselves after their mother.

“Catelyn? A bit too obvious… but after my mother, that would serve. Alayne. Do you like it?” — Sansa VI, A Storm of Swords.

SANSA STARK WEEK 2025: PROPHECY (DAY 6)
The Ghost of High Heart is a witch who made many prophecies involving major deaths, as well as important characters and scenes that are yet to happen. One of them involves Sansa Stark: she is mentioned as playing a role in the Purple Wedding, which marked the death of King Joffrey Baratheon. Furthermore, she is prophesied to be involved in another death, in a castle made of snow.

“The ʻhaunting the narrativeʼ trope involves a past character, event, or presence that continues to shape the present story. Whether through memory, trauma, or supernatural means, this presence must significantly impact the current plot or characters’ arcs, influencing their actions, emotions, or development. It's not just background—it actively echoes through the narrative.”
