Everyone is always going to try to find some way to bring you down somehow. Whether it's turning down your knob so you won't be so eccentric, vibrant, loud, sensitive, passionate, headstrong, outspoken, determined, beautiful, handsome, talented, creative, smart, crazy, odd, hetero, metro, homo, inquisitive, direct, and most of all just YOU! it's as if every part of you needs to be censored and controlled by other's opinions and thoughts about YOUR life. You know what FUCK THEM! You were born to be all the things that they are not. You formed yourself to be the person who YOU WANT TO BE, and there is nothing wrong with YOU! If someone is unsatisfied or displeased with you just push forward and continue on with your beautiful wonderful life, because we only get one and it wasn't made to please anyone other than yourself.
You could literally go from unemployed, to employed and still be disappointing someone, you just have to know that you are living your life the best way you can without feeding into the darkness and that alone should be your motivation to push on and be happy.
As one of my favorite authors once said:

Thank you Dr. Seuss for reminding us that who we are individually is the greatest pleasure we could ever receive in life, because WE have the power to determine our destinies, and the direction we want our lives to head in. Ultimately, it is we who decide whether we let others influence our lives and decisions by controlling our emotions and our knobs, or whether we break the knob off on 100% and remain true to our own individuality.
