Do they carry out bend and torque testing as standard practice, and can they provide records for the site file? Are they familiar with the specific engineering standards your project is certified against? Can they mobilise a crew quickly enough to match your steel erection sequence, including at height or in confined access areas? And critically, do they have a track record on projects of a similar scale and complexity to yours, not just smaller domestic or light commercial work? It's also worth asking how they handle wet weather delays and out-of-hours work, since stud welding crews are often the ones absorbing schedule pressure when earlier trades run late.
