Real talk though The Doctor and Bill have my all time favorite relationship backstory though I mean come on

Every other companion has had to prove themselves in some way thanks to some wacky circumstance that coincidentally happened when they were nearby, before the Doctor would even give them the time of day. Even Rose was annoying to him at first and he told her to leave him alone and forget him.

And then there’s Bill who the Doctor notices sneaking into college lectures where she doesn’t belong and he thinks “I don’t know who that is but I’m her dad now”

When Doctor Who first started up again in 2005, companions were people that kind of moved in with the Doctor and practically cut off their entire home life.

Now, companions are people that have to deal with the possibility that at any given moment, they can be having a quiet evening at home and this hyperactive dumbass will land a spaceship directly in their bedroom unannounced. Because boredom.

I rewatched the Trixie scenes and finally pieced together my thoughts.

I am so conflicted about this Trixie storyline as I don’t feel as if the show is approaching the situation in an appropriate way. I can see what they’re trying to do, but this time I think they’ve missed the mark slightly. {read more for longevity and spoilers}
