"You okay?" "Yeah." Will swallows, and Mike hears the bob of his Adam's apple. "You're—" he falters as Mike's fingers twitch by the V of his hip— "distracting." Mike huffs a soft laugh against the curve where Will's shoulder becomes his neck. "Am I?"

The skin under Mike's palm prickles immediately, goosebumps erupting from beneath his fingers. Mike watches as Will's head tips down slowly, his gaze locking on the hand at his hip.

There's a faint bloom of colour high across Will's cheeks, spreading towards the tips of his ears. It might just be a mark where his head was lying on the pillow, or just from how warm it was under the covers until Will sat up. Mike squints at him, trying to tell. It's hard to decide without his glasses.
