نگاه کن که چه برفی میبارد... Every time I look out the window and see snow falling, I hear this poem in my head. It is the end of a long complex poem themed with death, mourning and birth, by my (and everyone's) favourite persian poetess, Forough. (translation my own) Let’s believe Let’s believe in the onset of the cold season in the ruins of the orchards of imagination the idle, overturned sickles and the captive seeds… look out at the falling snow ... and next year, when Spring sleeps with the sky behind this window and its body bursts with the green fountains of supple stems it is going to blossom again, my love, my one and only.
