last Thursday evening was out graduate showcase, and I can’t believe it’s gone so fast. I feel so proud of everyone involved, we all gave it our all. And in my opinion, we all smashed it!.
It took place at the Network Theater Waterloo, a very nice little theatre set into the arches under the station. The staff was all very friendly and supportive of us.
I felt that the ‘Girls bathroom’ scene, which I wrote went down well, with us getting a couple of laughs from the audience. I felt that I successfully found my inner Mrs. Lovett in ‘worst pies in London, even if that did involve covering my fellow performer Ryan in flour. I also enjoyed performing my monologue ‘Killing you’ as it’s not often that I get the opportunity to show my dark side, and play against character.
As a company, we all worked really well. We were all there for each other, both supporting and motivating each other to do our best. Making it a really enjoyable experience.
I can’t wait to work with this talented company in my next production of Pippin! Auditions for this our this week, fingers cross. :)
